Big is Better? For a Princess Cruises Shareholder?

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Royal Princess

I guess the size of your dividend matters if you hold Princess Cruises shares but the size of the queues matters if you are a passenger on their new giant ships. And I really wonder how much longer the wonderful crews they employ can keep carrying their reputation and where the cruise industry is heading with the number of passengers they are cramming onto their ships. OK this was our 8th ...

Thoroughly enjoyed 8 days on Royal Princess

Will definitely cruise on this ship again if we have the chance. Embarkation was a breeze we were on board within 30 minutes of port arrival. Disembarkation was also good also around 30 mins after joining cue. We have cruised with R.C, P&O, and Carnival previously and found this ship to be in most aspects a cut above. The decor is clearly more premium including the stateroom. Staff were ...

FOOD Worst Bacon and Coffee of any cruise ship. Poached eggs came out without and white - just a yolk. Worst breakfast Service ever - 45 minutes for eggs to arrive. Cold toast turned up 5 minutes later. It was only an 8 day cruise but repetion of menu wasn't great. None of these had a huge impact on overall experience. We didn't starve :) SHIP Worst designed Ship we've sailed on. ...

I’ve already done the survey that they send you but realised after I sent it that I hadn’t commented on the born to dance show that I went to see while I was on the cruise . It was absolutely spectacular, I still can’t believe how good it was . I’ve been to watch shows all over including west end and broadway and this was way up there with the best . The singers and dancers were fabulous . Food ...

Disappointing

Compared to previous Princess cruises, this was definitely a step down in service, food, entertainment. The ambiance of cruising was not there. No dress code for the MDR. Food service slow… MDR was akin to eating at the local diner. The staff did not make the experience ‘special’. Limited engagement with the waitstaff..more of a serve and get it over with vibe. Orders were sometimes ...

Nice ship, a bit dated

This is our 4th time on Grand Princess, and it is still a very nice ship, in spite of being their oldest. The Princess food experience remains very good, but they slip up in a few areas that would not have happened 5 years ago. Having also cruised with P&O and Cunard in the last 2 years, Princess are way ahead. Our cabin has the usual issues of an older ship, very poor ergonomics, and very ...

We are a couple who joined two other couples chose this cruise because it started and ended in Auckland NZ. We have done around 20 cruises including three half world cruises over 30 years from Ponant to Paul Gaugin through Cunard, Sun Line, Carnival, P & O (UK), Princess and Celebrity. At 3000 passengers it was the largest ship we had been on (our other cruises were all on 2000 or less ...

FIRST AND LAST CRUISE - FIJI & NEW CALEDONIA 2024

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Grand Princess

This was the worst travel experience of my life. It was our first time on a cruise and certainly the last with Grand Princess. This cruise is suitable for 60 year olds and above only. The cruise itself is extremely outdated! I wouldn’t even say it could pass as a family cruise. 1 of the 3 stops they made over the 2 weeks was an industrial area. We even did a tour and didn’t even see much at all. ...

I would never recommend this cruise ship to anyone. We joined this cruise to celebrate our special wedding anniversary - this is our 7th cruise - but unfortunately its all about money and not passengers. Our towels in cabin were not changed for 6 days - apparently the laundry couldnt cope with daily changes. The cafes food was the same for 14 days, tables not cleared when passengers left - ...

14 day NZ cruise with one day in Sydney

Do not take the cruise to NZ starting and ending in Auckland. We just got back (the 2025 date is for next year obviously). We went 2024 February. Got to the airport and Princess has organized a taxi. This was extremely awkward as the guy told us how poor he was a lot and we felt we needed to give him a tip ( this was our fault). Embarkation started around 11am and was efficient. The room ...
