The highlight of this cruise was seeing the northern lights above the Arctic circle in Alta Norway. Spectacular show on our second day of port stay so we were fortunate to see the northern lights.
Our other stops in Norway were Alesund, Tromoso and Stavanger. This was the last cruise ship to all these ports for the season and we were the only ship in port. As a result shore offerings were ...
The main purpose of this cruise....the Northern Lights.
Spoiler alert.....we saw them!
Having spent a couple of nights in London and Southampton pre cruise the day finally arrived to board the Sapphire. Embarkation was delayed due to a satellite needing replacing on the ship but after a few hours waiting in relative comfort we were onboard.

Also in the same place when needing a cold plate they were always hot and when you required a hot plate they were cold. Most food was Italian or curries (always with a sauce), it would have been nice to have some plain and ...
I chose this cruise as I was travelling with 2 teenage kids and there seemed to be a lot for the family to enjoy together. Also, I am not a great fan of very hot weather, so the Med in August was out.
This was a first cruise for us all. I was interested to see the wide variety of people travelling from families with very young babies/children to the quite elderly. People who were working ...
We chose Princess Cruise Line because of the itinerary of Norway ports I wanted to visit, and, based on a previous cruise with Princess to Alaska, we were confident Princess Cruise line would provide an Excellent cruise, with ample opportunities to get to know Norway, a place I'd always wanted to visit, but never had.
Although the ship is not brand new, it had been refurbished just last year so ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary - visiting some Norwegian ports we've not been to before and a new country, Iceland, which I've always wanted to visit. We weren't disappointed - fabulous scenery, extremely lucky to get great weather, and really liked the Sapphire Princess - just the right size as it didn't feel too big or crowded even on sea days. And its had a bit of a refurb so felt a ...
We will NEVER cruise Princess again!
We took this Cruise because of the destination: Norway and Iceland:
This was a Special Family celebration cruise planned and paid for by Mom celebrating her 90th birthday.
Ship was very old and customer service the worst!
For Mom's birthday she got a banner and balloons that said: "Happy Anniversary." :(
Our scheduled family birthday ...
Just completed a 14 day cruise to Norway and Iceland. It was our best cruise yet, the stops were great, especially in Iceland.
We met some great folks and as usual the staff were top quality.
From the point we arrived in Southampton everything ran like clockwork, its so easy to embark. The food on board is excellent wherever you decide to eat. we mostly went to Horizon.
The bars on board ...
