Although this was our first Princess cruise, we booked the trip with my parents, who has almost TWENTY Princess cruises. My husband & I have sailed for other cruise line and told my parents that we didn't know what they were bragging about all this time. After this trip, my parents do not care for ever booking a Princess cruise again. The service of our steward was wonderful, the staff on the ship ...

My wife, son (13) and I were on the Caribbean Princess for the scheduled southern Caribbean cruise leaving San Juan on March 11th. With well over 20 cruises behind us, this was only our second with Princess after a not-so-satisfactory first experience over 10 years ago. We opted for this cruise after deciding that maybe we owed PCL another chance, but mostly because its itinerary, which included ...

My husband and I went on Caribbean Princess to the Southern Caribbean in February 2012. This was our 5th cruise and our first on Princess. Our previous cruises were on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. We had heard that Princess was a "step above" these other two lines but we did not agree with that. We were not impressed with either the ship or the service. Although we had no major complaints, ...

Cruising Is Always A Fun Vacation But Princess Could Improve

Booked this cruise because I liked the itinerary. Caribbean Princess was docked in San Juan. I highly recommend sailing out of San Juan; because you are already within the Caribbean, you are able to hit more ports and have less days at sea as opposed to sailings out of the continental 48 states. In the future, I would go one day early so I can check out San Juan, which is really a beautiful ...

I was very disappointed in the Caribbean Princess. Knowing that Princess is a 5 star cruise line had my expectations set pretty high and I was very let down. So Royal Caribbean remains my favorite cruise line. First let me tell you some positives: The crew themselves were VERY friendly and polite - no complaints (except for our dining room staff) Our inside room had plenty of storage room, ...

Not as Good as it Could Have Been

I use a wheelchair, but I can walk some, just not long distances. Embarkation was a breeze, and we could go right to our cabins immediately instead of waiting in public areas for a couple of hours. That was a plus. Also, we could eat lunch right away, and there were always plenty of crew available to help us with getting lunch trays and get us iced tea or water. I walked through the buffet ...

day 1 embarking went smooth, the person that took care of us in the wheelchair access area wasn't that friendly but got us through fast. I was traveling with 4 people, my wife her father me and my father. my wife's father needed to use a wheel chair to get around. mind you if you need wheelchair assistance do not expect princess to help you. they took away the scooter program. so we had to rent a ...

We are just back from our first Princess cruise. We were on the Caribbean Princess Apr. 10-17Th.As you can see below in my signature we are fairly well "cruised" in that we have tried some other lines (with an open mind). Since we fall in the category of those who cruise for the ports NOT the ship we have found that different lines do offer different itineraries thus allowing us to visit new ...

While we thouroughly enjoyed our two weeks on board there were a number of areas that we felt Princess needed to improve on, we have detailed these below for the benefit of people weighing up taking this cruise. Just to paint the picture we (a couple aged 29 and 32) are experienced travellers although this was only our second cruise, the previous one was with RCI. We visited 10 ports over the 14 ...

Embarkation- Was pretty smooth, no long lines. Now here is the big plus for those of you who like to drink. After you pass the security checkpoint they have a duty free shop that sells liquor. We only bought a bottle of Patron (I don't drink) but I'm sure you can buy as much as you can fit on your carry on, just make sure to put it in your bag because you're technically not suppose to bring it on ...
