I use a wheelchair, but I can walk some, just not long distances. Embarkation was a breeze, and we could go right to our cabins immediately instead of waiting in public areas for a couple of hours. That was a plus. Also, we could eat lunch right away, and there were always plenty of crew available to help us with getting lunch trays and get us iced tea or water. I walked through the buffet ...
Re: Caribbean Princess Back to Back Departures Dec 18th & 26th 2011.
Sir:
I don't feel that I should have to resort to again taking my time to point out obvious short falls in your organizations, Management and Security.
I have cruised with Princess 20 times over the past years and I am scheduled to sail with Princess again on Star Princess Mar3rd. 2012. I have always kept up my end ...
This cruise was labeled as a 14 night Southern Caribbean but in reality it was 2 separate 7 night cruises visiting 10 ports (not including Puerto Rico). We've spent time sailing around the Caribbean in a 50 ft sailboat a few times over the years and this was our 4th "big" cruise and 2nd with Princess.
We chose the 14 night cruise as we prefer longer vacations of 10 or more nights and with the ...
I was very disappointed in the Caribbean Princess. Knowing that Princess is a 5 star cruise line had my expectations set pretty high and I was very let down. So Royal Caribbean remains my favorite cruise line.
First let me tell you some positives: The crew themselves were VERY friendly and polite - no complaints (except for our dining room staff)
Our inside room had plenty of storage room, ...
First let me tell anyone who is going on a Princess cruise to print out the page that shows your on board credit. This is not a page that is required but I was not the only person who's on board credit magically disappeared when I boarded. If I had the page I could have had proof. After talking to 3 people including the Captain Circle rep I was told I could take it up after my cruise. Did they ...
First, I want to mention that everything is personal, and that opinions vary from people to people but this is my opinion of this cruise on this ship. Having sailed with other cruise lines before (Royal Caribbean and Carnival), I was told that Princess was above these two. Maybe my expectations were too high to start, but in my opinion, Royal Caribbean is step above. My general feel is still ...
Due to time limitations, we were not able to do a pre-cruise stay in San Juan. Instead, we taxied over to the ship directly from the San Juan airport. There is a set fare of $19 plus $1 for each piece of luggage. The trip took about 20 minutes. Since we are Platinum cruisers with Princess, we bypassed a fairly long line and went right up to the sign-in counter inside the embarkation area. ...
Overall I rate my trip 4 out of 5 stars.
Arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico the day before sailing and stayed at the Airport Best Western. No fooling-it was the smallest hotel room I have ever had. My cabin on the ship was bigger!
Day 1:
I had a free transfer to the ship and let me tell you-it was not worth the price I paid. I did not get my luggage until after midnight! You see in ...
day 1 embarking went smooth, the person that took care of us in the wheelchair access area wasn't that friendly but got us through fast. I was traveling with 4 people, my wife her father me and my father. my wife's father needed to use a wheel chair to get around. mind you if you need wheelchair assistance do not expect princess to help you. they took away the scooter program. so we had to rent a ...
We're married, ages 33 & 35. This was our 4th cruise, 2nd time on the CB, but our 1st cruise with just the two of us as we usually travel with a group of family & friends. We were really excited to finally cruise on our own and this trip didn't disappoint!Flights and transfers round trip were booked through Princess. We arrived in San Juan at 6 p.m. and were on the ship by 7. It was great to get ...
