Surprisingly Poor Service

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Grand Princess

Christmas sailing for the whole family. Embarkation was a pain in the behind. Fault lies both with my family and the staff (but primarily the latter). I won't go too much into it, but basically, be sure your whole party is there to check in at the same time! The ship itself is fairly dated, but it wasn't really a problem for me. There's a fair amount to appreciate about an older ...

Holiday Cruising with Princess!

This trip was a very enjoyable way to spend the holidays. My favorite moment was when the ship came to a full stop for a while to allow Santa to board. While the ship was stationery in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, we witnessed sharks swimming leisurely along. That was very cool! Our room stewards on Princess are always prompt and attentive. The food is amazingly good and the selection ...

Terrible Food

I was told that Princess Cruies were great. I found out differently. The food was not what I had expected. The buffet closed in the afternoon and the selection were the same thing day after day. The best part of my cruise was the cabin that was well kept. They should offer more keroake. It was something that I enjoy doing. The shows were not what I had expected. The casino could be a little bit ...

Cabin service => A+ Food in MDR => B Pizza on deck 12 => B Grill on deck 12 => A Buffet => C Cabin => D Cabin was a disappointing experience, only sitting area in an upgraded balcony cabin was a small desk chair. We put a balcony chair in the cabin, not sure what happen to a love seat, or at minimum a comfortable chair. Buffet was average, with stand standard food. We ...

Warm Hawaii in December

We went for Renewal of Vows and a Holiday get away to a warmer climate. We had a fantastic time on this Hawaii cruise! Weather in Hawaii was perfect in December, 75F-90F. We didn’t find any all day excursions, but didn’t want to do only 1/2 day. We just took Uber to local beaches for snorkeling, lunch, and drinks. All in one location. Beaches were not crowded and we had a blast! Most of the ...

This was a pre Christmas cruise that we extended to Dec 28.Exploring San Francisco before and after the cruise was an added bonus. We had the amazing itineraries of Hawaiian ports and then Mexican ports back to back. The ship was so beautifully decorated for the season, embarkation and disembarkation so easy, the cabin larger than the standard. The servers were enthusiastic and gracious. The food was ...

We've been on this cruise many times. So all was as expected. There are many sea days filled with activities or just relaxing. Loved the lectures about Hawaii...culture/history/natural wonders...what to see and food. Loved the hula and ukulele lessons, and all the Hawaiian crafts and music. Food was as always consistently good. Effy was giving out charms if you attended some of their workshops. ...

OK, the 10th time we’ve done this cruise and it was great!!! We loved every minute of it. Great crew, great entertainment! Good food, fun activities! I even learned how to do quilling cards!!! We loved the length of stay on Oahu. Wish there was more time on the other islands of Hawai’i, Kauai and Maui but we still were able to enjoy all of them. For some reason this crew was really ...

We flew from London and stayed 2 nights pre-cruise in San Francisco. As Elite members check in was quick and easy and we were on board within 20 minutes. The outside of the ship was rusty in places but inside the ship was fantastic. Our balcony cabin was lovely but had no footrest on the balcony or a cabin kettle. Our cabin steward got us a footrest but couldn't get a kettle. Our Elite ...

We love Princess and enjoyed the 15 day Hawaii cruise. The ports were amazing and our room steward DeDe was outstanding. We have 2 more Princess Cruises planned. The new TV service is amazing. It was nice to have a relaxing cruise with 10 Sea Days. We enjoyed just doing things we wanted to do and not feel rushed. We did Princess Excursions and enjoyed the winery visit in Mexico. We met nice ...
