A ship that is full of promise but falls short
"Entertainment during the 3 sea days was mainly quiz or trivia related and due to the unusual nature of the cruise being 100% British residents, it did have a small element of a booze cruise, with certain residents doing their best to drink their 15 drinks a day, whisky with breakfast was not unusual to see The headline shows we're good, Ross Hunter was particularly notable, but the comedians were average to poor. The ship was only 60% full we were told but we really felt it lacks enough bars/lounges on sea days and during the evening, due to the larger older demographic on this cruise, after 10 pm it was never difficult to find a seat...."Read More

Thoroughly Underwhelmed. Should We All Be Cruising?

Review for Sky Princess to Mediterranean

Our first cruise with Princess, and probably our last as they gave no reason why we should travel with them again. We had a number of issues that I will go into briefly later, but one of my biggest qualms affected our whole trip from the outset. The mask wearing. What is the point of travelling and losing freedoms if you have all been double jabbed and tested before embarkation? To come ...

Lovely ship, shame about food/service/entertainment

Review for Sky Princess to Europe - All

Lovely, well designed impressive ship. Shame about limited menu choices - repeated in both Cielo & Estrella restaurants. Not enough bar staff - so don't worry about exceed your 15 drinks a day Princess Plus package) and having repeat drink within the 15 minute rule. If you order on the app, prepare to wait. You'll see staff delivering ordered drinks, but they rarely stop to take orders. As we ...

A ship that is full of promise but falls short

Review for Sky Princess to Europe - All

We booked this cruise as a last-minute deal, on Monday before we departed on the Friday, we had been excited to try the Sky Princess as we had enjoyed the Royal Princess so much a few years back. We arrived at our scheduled arrival time at Southampton for departure, the COVID testing was completed quickly and after a 25-minute wait, we were ready to head to the Green Line and receive our ...

Fab Cruise on Sky Princess

Review for Sky Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

Our first cruise post COVID restrictions and got a great deal round UK and across to France. Plus good deal on drinks/wifi/gratuities package - £30/day/person (note - limit 15 drinks per day). The big complaint was that Princess changed itinerary 4 times, removing Guernsey, Cork and finally adding France to make it first "international cruise" with including passengers from USA and Canada. The big ...

Delightful cruise and great to go ashore independently

Review for Sky Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

We chose this cruise primarily because of the free car parking and onboard spend offer, plus having the opportunity to go ashore independently in Portland, Belfast and Liverpool. The service onboard in the restaurants and bars was excellent, with a very friendly and welcoming crew. We had a lovely room stewardess who took great care of us. It is a beautiful ship and with only 1250 guests ...

Second time to Southampton this year after a break on Regal Princess in August so we knew the port protocol for Covid testing. No issue for us as the people were all friendly and very helpful. then off the ship, unload and have our car taken for parking, again all quick and painless for us. Checking in was easier than Regal where the medallion app appeared to fail on a regular basis. Lovely ...

Enjoyable Seacation -- Happy To Be Back !!

Review for Sky Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

My wife and I were on board Sky Princess for 6 nights in September. The last time we cruised with Princess was in 2013 on Emerald Princess, we were supposed to be on Ruby Princess in 2020 but the Pandemic cancelled our cruise, therefore we were really looking forward to this Seacations Cruise. We were not disappointed as the organisation by Princess particularly in terms of Covid Protocols was ...

Beautiful ship

Our room was beautiful and very comfortable albeit a little small. The bathroom was also small but the shower was powerful. We were midship A441, near the lifts. No noise at all and very convenient. We tried the specialty restaurants Crown Grill and Sabatini’s. The service in both was outstanding. We particularly like Sabatini’s. The steaks in Crown Grill were very tasty. The food in the MDR ...

Great to be back onboard with Princess

We chose this cruise because we wanted to experience cruising again and thought a four-night sea cation would be a great place to start. We were certainly not disappointed. The crew were warm, welcoming and very attentive. Our stateroom, at the front of the ship, had a good-sized balcony, with amazing views. The service in the restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. The menus, ...

Art Deco bling at sea

Review for Sky Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

User Avatar

Having cruised about 20 times before but never having tried Princess, this 4 night sea-cation at a really good price appealed to us and was a last minute booking. The ship is the newest in the fleet (& much bigger than our previous experience of ships) and she does look great, as the heading indicates there is an Art Deco feel to the interiors with added “shine”. We had a balcony cabin on deck ...
