We started our trip with a couple of days in Rome exploring. We would love to go back and spend a couple of weeks. We were impressed with the Royal. But this was only our second cruise. We received an upgrade to a mini suite the night before embarkation. Very spacious cabin. The bed was so comfortable. Our room stewardess was an absolute angel. Always there with a smile when we needed ...

We chose this cruise as it departed from Rome where we had spent a few days. We loved the cities it went to and it was a good cross section of the Mediterranean. We also prefer not to have too many sea days. We had booked tours at all ports but could have done some by ourselves. We had beautiful weather and the sea was calm the whole cruise. The staff were professional in all areas of the ship and ...

Ive been looking to do a Mediterranean cruise for a while and I liked this one because of the itinerary plus it was new. The down part to the sailing was originally it had Valletta,Malta and Kusadasi, Turkey on the itinerary and after I booked it they changed the itinerary to go to Kotor, Montenegro and Corfu, Greece instead. Eventhough the replacement ports were amazing, I still had my heart ...

We chose this cruise based upon the location in the Mediterranean and the ports and we were very glad we did! Too bad we didn't get to visit Istanbul due to the American restrictions. This was our first Princess cruise on a small ship and we were definitely surprised on how much we enjoyed it. The food has always been over the top, but what we noticed right off was how much more we enjoyed the ...

My wife and I decided we needed to revisit a few of the European, and other ports, we had already visited. A kind of follow up. On this cruise I was able to check off three boxes on the Bucket List. The Vatican Museum, Pompeii and Venice, the St Mark's Basilica after hours tour. All were amazing. What has become very clear is that the excursion leader is as important as the excursion. All the ...

Great Royal Princess Transatlantic Cruise, Oct 8, 2016

We scheduled this TA Cruise because we were visiting Italy for the 1st time for 8 nights before the Cruise. In the past our TA Cruise was 1st and then the vacation after the Cruise. This was much nicer being able to rest and relax at the end of our vacation. I had chosen a Hotel close to the train station and it was easy to take the train to the Port of Civitavecchia and it only cost 4 Euros ...

This cruise included the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Corfu, Khios, Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Korcula and Koper, Slovenia. Each and every port was just beautiful. Before the cruise began Princess arranged for us to stay 2 nights in Rome at the Savoy Hotel. It was a wonderful hotel at a reasonable price. It was located within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Parthenon, and ...

We had been anticipating our first family cruise for quite a while. With an early fall break for the kids due to Eid, this seemed like the perfect time to get to some great ports of call. Original schedule had Rome, Istanbul, and Athens but unfortunately the Turkish ports were cancelled due to security. This was disappointing but out of our hands. The addition of Montenegro turned out to be a ...

Princess has excellent level of customer care and organisation. Food superb. Plenty of options for eating. Lots going on throughout the whole cruise. We had a suite on the back with a lovely wrap around balcony, which we took full advantage of. Room service was brilliant with good choice of menu. Crown Grill served wonderful meals - subject to a cover charge. Unfortunately the itinerary was ...

After touring France for a 12 night Trafalgar Tour plus 4 nights in Paris we flew to Civitavecchia and boarded the Royal Princess the next day. It was so wonderful to have a balcony cabin again, this being my 35th Cruise and hubby's 33rd Cruise we utilized the balcony every morning day and night, which can be neglected with hectic schedule whilst cruising the Mediterranean. The Royal ...
