Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Crown Princess

Always wanted to experience a transatlantic cruise. The Crown Princess was great. Entertainment was less than desirable! Food was good. Ports were great. Getting to the ship from the train station (Civitavecchia) was a very bad experience. There were a few people that didn’t have a clue how to get to the ship. The shuttle never stopped at their Shuttle Stop! We had to walk to the ship from the ...

We took this cruise from Rome to Ft Lauderdale because it was a great price and I liked the stops. I wanted to see Barcelona. I was on my bucket list. It was quick and easy to get on but very slow getting off. I walk with a cane so I took a wheelchair which sped up the process. Our cabin E623 was obstructed view. It had plenty of space for 2.womens clothes. We took anytime dining and ...

I have been sailing on Princess for my last 8 cruises. I have found a cruise line that is comfortable for me. This TA from Rome to Fort Lauderdale was chosen for the dates and for a Rome departure. Prior to sailing, I had read complaints re the Crown Princess as to bad entertainment, food and ship condition .Cruise director, Angela was always present and provided lots of fun activities, ...

Always wanted to cross an ocean as an immigrant to Canada. This was our first cross Atlantic cruise, our first on Princess and the first ever cruise for my partner. The boat was very good. We had a great time on this trip. We were in Europe for 2 weeks before embarking visiting Paris and Rome each for a week. The staff was great. The restaurants were to our taste quite too similar. ...

If you are desire a long rest, a Transatlantic Cruise is an ideal escape. This was our first, taken on the recommendation of friends. The staff, food and service were excellent. There was an interesting speaker each morning for one half hour, no guest speakers for the remainder of the day. There should have been another speaker for an afternoon session, not just staff from the spa talking on ...

We have wanted to do a repositioning cruise for a long time. Celebrity was sold out so this was our second choice and turned out to be second class or worse in the food catagory. One of my main cruise purposes is to partake of the great variety of food offerings usually available at formal dining and in the buffet. The Crown Princess food was without a doubt the poorest quality of any of the ...

time was perfect. relax before all the holiday madness kicks in shows were very good.the casinos gave people playing craps drinks almost every night. food and service was great. liked the gym. they had saunas for men and ladies. we had 3 times where we were able to eat in the British Pub at no extra cost. the afternoon tea in our cabin was really nice. they gave us more food than ...

This was my 18th cruise. Never had a favorite (they’ve all been fun) until now. The beautiful unspoiled Atlantic Ocean is a sight to behold. 3 sea days from Barcelona to the Azores and 6 more to Ft. Lauderdale. Nowhere else can you see the world so unspoiled. Venus was so bright it reflected off the ocean. We traveled with another couple and took advantage of many dining options. We ...

Visited relatives in Barcelona, and chose to return to USA via repositioning cruise. Great choice, Cruise was super especially the attentive and friendly service of ship's staff. Our cabin was very spacious and accommodating for all purposes, and the balcony was good sized: a real plus! We will do this again! Dining was excellent--we chose formal, but sampled other venues. The casino was well ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary: from Europe and the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal and the Middle East and over to Southeast Asia. The entire process of embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth and surprisingly glitch-free, it was a well-organized ship. Some pluses: Good quality and variety of food Safety drills/pirate drills were informative and reassuring ...
