The Infirmary and Steel Drums

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

We choose Princess because it sailed out of San Francisco. We were able to take the Amtrac train out of Fresno, CA at 6:00 AM and were in front of the Buffet at 11:30 AM. Embarkation was the easiest of all our cruises. Luggage taken right from the Uber along the curbside. Every sea day was a hour practice on the steel drums for 30 shipmates. Leader of the drums, Wilson, was great. Much ...

Ordinary Fall cruise to New England/Canada

We book this cruise every year. 3rd time on Princess. For us, no fly. Pleasant week . Great ports. For once, the weather cooperated. In past years we missed a port or two due to weather. Embarkation was a breeze. We finally found a convenient way to access the Brooklyn cruise pier by using the water taxi from pier 11 at Wall St. It drops off at Red Hook across from the ship. Just ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose the Coral Princess for a short vacation with friends, jumping on in Auckland back to Sydney. We have done this hop previously and found it to be a relaxing break with easy of travel over to NZ. There were several Princess ships offering this mini cruise from Auckland and the Coral date and pricing suited our needs but would have happily tried any of their other ships (Royal was in port ...

A Cheapskate Tries a Repositioning Cruise

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

What year is this cruise? People are eating rice pilaf and drinking Blue Hawaiians, the comedian’s routine is shockingly racist, and the big musical revue is a nearly all-white salute to Motown. I halfway expected to run into cigarette machine. I am old, but Gen Z: I was appalled on your behalf. The fact that the buffet has a vegan section and there’s a nightly LGBTQ meet-up reminded me it was ...

Mixed Feelings about this one

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Princess did a great job with staffing. I made memories for a lifetime with various crewmembers stellar service. The shows were okay. Yes, quite dated in some cases. Ashley Rose Smith is a treasure with her singing and ability to keep a somewhat sedate crowd interested especially in her ABBA show. Sudarmo in International Cafe-amazing!! Rhoneil, our waiter. Well we never do set dining but when we ...

Much needed improvements

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Travelled with Princess in earlier times and had not a good experience overall. The Hawaii destination did inspire us to use the company again and taste their latest trading style. Although we found lots of improvements on board, we still find the basic missing with much frustration in this matter. Having worked all my life in the catering industry in London's 4 & 5 star Hotels, found the service, ...

Review of our Princess cruise

We booked this cruise because we thought it would be a good way to see some East Coast cities and hopefully see some fall colors. We both felt that the food was good and had no complaints. One specific issue we had with the buffet was getting a table to sit at. This seems to be a problem with most of the cruises that we have been on lately. Embarkation was in Brooklyn. It was raining and ...

Super ship, great staff, post-Covid food a bit disappointing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

Overall, we had a fabulous cruise for 16 days from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale with excellent stops in France, Spain and Portugal. As my cabin mate has a cane and is Elite, we were put in a faster queue for boarding, which went extremely well. The Regal Princess is a stunning ship! I especially enjoyed midship on Decks 15 and 16 where you can see the front and rear of the ship from one ...

First Time on Princess for this frequent floater

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I decided it was time to try another line after being disappointed on the last couple of cruises on NCL and RCCL. My DW had been on one Princess and other friends have been complimentary of the line in the past. Overall I was very pleased with the cruise. Were there things that could be better- yes. There were more things that I liked than disliked and Princess will definitely be in the picture ...
