What A Disappointing Ship and Embarrassment for Princess

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Royal Princess

This is my first and most likely ONLY trip on the Regal Princess. Since the Royal Princess is of the same design, I won’t be traveling on that ship either. There are many physical/design reasons, which apply to both vessels that are most inferior. There are more passengers, but the elevator configuration is the same as the smaller Emerald, Ruby, etc. ships. How can more staterooms and floors with ...

We cruise more than 25 times with different cruise line in the past 15 years Princess alone is more than 10 times we always enjoy foods and entertainment in the ship until we get on Diamond Princess. We cruise with Diamond Princess twice before but this time we find this should not be a 5 star ship i will give it a 3 star. Food quality and selection are very bad in the dinning room and buffet. The ...

Cruise Line Missed the Most Important Part of a Vacation

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Regal Princess

I had only been on one other Princess Cruise to Mexico and also several Holland America Cruises. The design and cleanliness of the previous cruise on the Crown Princess convinced me to book a Western Caribbean Cruise on the Regal Princess and a Japan Cruise on the Diamond Princess. I flew to Miami two days prior to embarkation and purchased a transfer from the Miami airport to the pier in Port ...

Worst cruise ship/line we've ever been on

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Grand Princess

This will be our ONLY cruise on Princess. We had high hopes as my brother in law likes Princess and recommended it. We however hated it and here's why: Food - The meat and seafood was grossly overcooked. We sent stuff back, we ordered it "Medium Rare" - it sill came out slammed. The sides were disappointing as well. For the most part everything friend came out soggy. The buffet was horrible, ...

I was with a group of Physician friends and I did not make the choice of Princess.. I am a vegetarian and the ship did not cater to special diet needs.. The fruits served were unripe and lacking in quality.. Bananas, melons and pine apple were unripe most of the time.. No berries or tropical fruits were served at any restaurants. Specialty restaurants ( only 2 fro a ship carrying 2200 + 900 staff) ...

Worst Cruise We've Ever Taken

Review for a South America Cruise on Crown Princess

User Avatar

This was a bucket list trip around South America. Boarding was total disorganized and took over 4 1/2 hours. No one in the terminal had any answers as to why the delays. The ship is old and outdated. stains in carpeting, ratty mats and flooring in the gym, no nets on basketball courts, broken machines in the casino. When I spoke to a supervisor about the condition of the ship I was told" Sir, ...

Not Impressed with Island Princess

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Island Princess

I sailed on the Island Princess prior to the latest renovations and found no improvements benefitting passengers. More cabins were added reducing common space area. The gym is now is a small room with no windows. The theatre is small and, unless you arrive at least one half hour early for shows, you generally cannot find a seat. The Enrichment lecturer, Dr. Glassner, was excellent. The ...

There were some good and bad aspects to this cruise. Here are the bad points: Terrible food- worst we have experienced on any cruise line. I had read previously about the poor pastries on Princess -none of which are made with butter. This wasn't a problem since we always overeat the delicious pastries available at Celebrity's Cafe al Bacio. We were OK with skipping pastries- one bite and you ...

Horrible Cruise; Poorly Organized; Dreadful Food; Norovirus Epidemic

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

If you are thinking of the Ruby Princess, I beg you tothink again. Our pre-Christmas cruise from LA to Cabo was bad in almost any metric. This was our 9th cruise, and our first (and last) on Princess. The management of people was awful -- our anytime dining routinely required an hour wait for dinner and a half-hour wait for lunch, made worse by the norovirus epidemic that sent many of the ...
