We chose this cruise after much investigating dining, entertainment and other reviews. We were in cabin Emerald 735 with the obstructed view as they called it. The balcony was wonderful no obstruction st all. If you wasn't to book I aft cabin I strongly suggest this one. Yes it was on top of club fusion but we heard absolutely nothing at all. The worst we heard was the hangers sliding back and forth on a day we had 10'15 ft. seas. Cabin steward Luis wss amazing The buffet I felt was very repetitious and somewhat cold when it came to food temp. My dining room waiter for the most part was Shane from Jamaica truly a class act Specialty dining for our anniversary was at the Crown Grill. It was outstanding. Bridget out server went over and beyond the call of duty to make our evening a night to remember. And lastly. Sabatinnis was my overall best. My favorite meal is Veal Parm but it wasn't on the menu. My hubby just happened to run into the main chef there and asked if he could make it. I was enthralled when Chef came to my table and said he was doing the dish. Above all I would absolutely day it was my personal favorite. We also dined at Planks which was very good and definitely worth the upcharge. Overall it was a great cruise. We also booked a cruise on Enchantment Jan 2021 back to back 14 days. This was a bucket list check off for us. And Todd Veautour, I couldn't imagine having that experience with anyone but you. It was an awesome anniversary cruise. And again I can't stress if you get the chance to book aft go for Emerald 735. Read Less

Loved this cruise!!! This ship is georgeous!!! The medallion is so easy to use. Definitely makes shopping and playing slots a breeze! Our cabin was a nice size with a pretty good amount of storage. The bed and pillows were great. The air conditioning was pitiful though. So bring a fan!! We had an extended balcony which was really nice! We cold spread our patio furniture out more. Wanted to enjoy a nice breakfast on our balcony but the room service menu was lacking!! Just danishes and a bacon egg biscut. The stores onboard had a little bit of everything I bought a couple dresses and found one to be an irregular. Disappointed in that. But kept it as I had already torn the tag off. The shore excursions were over priced and rushed. As they are on all cruises. Would have liked to have seen more entertainment like musicals or plays. Bingo is only 4 games each time. It takes longer for them to set up bingo than it does to actually play it. But over all we enjoyed our cruise. And we have already started planning our Alaskan cruise with Princess!! Read Less

Love to visit Japan on the Diamond Princess. What a great ship and staff. Also great itineraries. The ship is well maintained for its age. The crew is friendly and accommodating. There were lots of shopping but no one was pushy. Bars are attractive and well staffed. We especially appreciated Skywalkers lounge and views while leaving each port for a pre-dinner drink. Both the Explorers and Wheelhouse lounges provided entertainment and both are beautiful appointed. Churchill’s is a small bar for smokers and also serves as a sports bar. Crooner’s is a piano bar near the atrium and was busy quite often as a great meeting place. Club Fusion is the largest bar at the very back of the ship, and served as both bar and activities center as well as for dancing classes, etc. We dined in the Pacific Moon main ding room and it was very good. Our waiter, Anthony and his assistant Misato were excellent. Our favorite was Kai Sushi were Sushi chef Tsuyoshi-san, and waiters Nami and John were excellent. They made our cruise! Our cabin, D737 had an exceptionally large balcony that wrapped around to give a ships wake view even though it was not a stern facing cabin. Our room steward Rudi was excellent. The itinerary was excellent and we enjoyed each port on our own. The Japanese people are friendly and helpful. This cruise is a great way to explore Japan and we highly recommend it! Read Less

Port Everglades 11/24 Princess Cay 11/25 Day at Sea 11/26 St. Thomas 11/27 St. Maarten 11/28 Day at Sea 11/29 Day at Sea 11/30 Port Everglades 12/1 My boyfriend and I (in our mid 20s) decided to book a Princess cruise for the very first time together as a couple. I had been reading the reviews for this cruise and was a little hesitant as some of the most recent people on the ship had mentioned fluctuating food and entertainment variety. Overall, this cruise was fantastic! The ship itself was stunning, most of the crew on board were very nice, food was usually very good, and the entertainment was terrific! Embarkment: We received our medallions in the mail a few weeks before our trip. I read online to download the app and fill out our information prior to boarding so that It was easy and smooth. That It was! We arrived to the terminal around 11 AM and It was not busy at all. The transition to get on the ship was sooo smooth and everyone working for Princess in the terminal was extremely nice. WIthin a matter of less than half an hour we were already on the ship! Room: We booked an inside cabin on the 16th deck, Lido. Our cabin was ready as soon as we stepped onto the ship! It was the most spacious inside cabin I have ever seen before! Our room steward was Elmer, and although we didn't see him too much, he provided us with a clean room and everything we could've asked for! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was great! Entertainment: Absolutely fantastic!!!! The dancers, singers, ICON, comedians, It was all fantastic! There was always some type of music playing whether in the Piazza, the several onboard bars, or by the pool. There was nothing lacking from the entertainment on this ship! The "Bravo, Sweet Soul Music, Born to Dance" shows by the dance company were absolutely incredible! The comedian onboard, Buddy Fitzpatrick was great during his first performance. However, the second time It was definitely a flop. We really wish there was a late-night comedian (18+) available but there was not. That was where we found the entertainment to be lacking-just in that one area. On the last night, there was a male acapella group which was just great! Activities: This was another area lacking, not too much going on during the day (especially sea-days) besides laying by the pool. Horizon Court/Bistro: We always enjoyed lunch and snacks at the buffet during the ship! The salads were fresh and delicious and there were always many options to choose from. Breakfast was not a hit for us, the pancakes and waffles were YUCK. Fresh fruit was not in season, and there were never any berries available which I wish there were. Overall, the food served here was great. International Cafe- Such a great option to see on a ship! They had pastries, coffee, quiche, salads, soup available from morning til night! We really enjoyed a mid-afternoon snack here! Bar service- all of the drinks we had on board were excellent! Dining Room: We had booked online for 7:15 in the Allegro Dining Room. However, once on board we received two cards which said we were dining at 7:45 in the Allegro Dining Room. Allegro is located on the 5th floor and was a bit challenging to get to at times. On the first night, we were introduced to Carlo and Marco as our waiters. We were sat in a booth along one side of the restaurant and were surrounded by other tables for 2. I did find the dining room was lacking atmosphere as there was no music that ever played and not much decor. Also, the tables were wayyyyy too close to one another and the waiter would talk to a group of us, rather than making It an individual dining experience. I am a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a pescatarian (allergic to peanuts). On the first night, we told our waiter and each night after that my boyfriend would view the menu the night before and preselect his meal. He always ordered the fish or seafood option, and I stuck to the vegetarian option. Overall, the vegetarian options were very good, minus a meal or two here or there that was so so. The portions were quite small, so we usually ordered 2-3 appetizers and 2 meals to try. I was not that impressed with the menu each night, as there was only one vegetarian option available, aside from the Fettucini Alfredo that was available permanently on the menu. The first two nights, the meals came out quite quickly since we were always trying to catch a show at 9 or 10 pm. However, the rest of the nights the service was very slow and we often scarfed down our food to get to the show on time. One night, we even skipped dessert just so we wouldn't be so late to miss the show. Desserts were not ever great.. which was very unfortunate. I often stuck to the "love boat" which is just a chocolate mousse. The cheesecake was extremely dry. Medallion Class- we thought this was so neat! The medallion would open the door for you before you even came up to the door! We also used our medallion to pay for drinks, use at the casino, and in the shops! Very clever and we really enjoyed this extra perk! Ports: Princess Cay was beautiful! The water was cold, and there was a 5-10 minute tender to get to the port but that was ok. We really enjoyed this port! St. Thomas- we took a taxi straight off the boat to Magen's Bay. It was very crowded and the chair/umbrella guys wouldn't take your chair or set up the umbrella for you..not sure why but they didn't. It was definitely overpriced (entry fee as well) but we enjoyed walking along the beach and the beautiful scenery. St Maarten- We booked an ATV tour with Splash in the Sun ATV. It was $140 for the two of us on what ended up being a 7-hour tour! We definitely suggest looking into this excursion! We had such a great time on this ship! The decor was stunning, music and entertainment was great, food was usually delicious, and ports were awesome! It was a fun time for us and we look forward to booking with Princess again! Read Less

Another amazing experience. We have come to expect this from Princess and they deliver every time. From the Rooms to the dining, Gameshows to the pool, the entire time was great. My 9 year old son loved the play areas for the kids, and the sports deck was a hit for us as well. We enjoyed Bingo, and tried to hit every trivia event. That was alot of fun. The Chef and Matire D were impressive in their live demonstration. We did not do any gambling of shopping but we could see there was plenty. They even had a Black Friday Sale to compare to any other retail outlet. The Entertainment Staff were really the ones that shined throughout the experience, but the Chefs and Wait Staff were outstanding. The sit down dinners were one of our favorite times of day. We can sit down, and enjoy wonderful meal with tastes we may have never had. Out on deck there was always something going on, or just relaxing by the pool it was perfect. Anything we needed was right there, and the Pizza & Burgers were on point. Everything was outstanding on this and all my other cruises with Pricness!!!!! Read Less

We chose this cruise on the advice of our travel agent and because of online reviews, we were not disappointed. We were so impressed with the embarkation process, this was our first cruise and we expected everything to be far more complicated than it was. Everything went smoothly and we were on-board in no time at all and with our medallion to help us we had the ship figured out pretty quickly also. The medallion is a great idea and is beyond helpful when it comes to navigating the ship and going on excursions. Disembarking was also pretty seamless and everything had been explained to us in great detail so there were no unfortunate surprises. The ship is beautiful and so clean and well maintained, there were always members of the crew out and about attending to the vessel. Our cabin was very nice and amazingly well laid out, you never felt cramped especially with the balcony. The cabin like the ship was clean and very well maintained we never had one complaint about our lodgings. I was surprised at the small things like up to date movies on your TV and pamphlets being left in your room every night to inform you of the next day’s activities. The dining was top notch and we were never disappointed with the food or the presentation. We ate at The Allegro in the evening and the food and service there was incredible, our waiter Mateo was great and very friendly. During the day we ate at the Horizon buffet and the food there was also top notch and unlike some all inclusive resorts you never get bored with the food as there is always something new on the menu. The service on-board ship was out of this world and all the staff always had a smile and a pleasant attitude. The entertainment was great , we always found something to do and usually went to the shows at 8 PM in the theatre. The talent there was amazing and you had to make sure you showed up early to get a seat, of course there was a later showing but we preferred the early show. Excursions were always so well laid out that getting to your pickup spot was as seamless as the rest of the trip. We preferred having a little tour of the places we visited and had a great time traveling around with a local guide. We would most definitely travel with Princess Cruises again and would have no problem recommending them to our friends and family. Read Less
