Before you embark on a cruise check the itineraryand the entertainment to see if it's going to be full of very old people.
This cruise definitely catered for the zimmer brigade, even the night club was playing 50s walz music. mind you I wasn't sure if the DJ was alive during the cruise! Walz music with 1 couple on the floor, It's a night club!!!!!
The stops around NZ were great and we had a ...
We chose this cruise as I had never done the South Pacific before. Embarkation was good and as we are Platinum card holders we were able to board at 11 AM which was great. The cabin was not available till 1 PM. Luggage was at our cabin by then. We first stopped off at Noumea. As it was a Sunday all the shops were closed. We caught a free shuttle to the centre of town as we docked in a container ...
Getting on the ship was terrible, people were waiting over 2 hours just to get inside the building. They were only letting in 2-3 people at a time. The overall appearance of the ship was good. The food in the upstairs buffet was not very good. The dinning room had 2-3 good nights to choose from and the rest were not so good of choices. It's a good thing they have salmon on the everyday side of the ...

Cabin was a disappointing experience, only sitting area in an upgraded balcony cabin was a small desk chair. We put a balcony chair in the cabin, not sure what happen to a love seat, or at minimum a comfortable chair.
Buffet was average, with stand standard food.
We ...
This was my longest ever cruise, at 15 nights aboard the Emerald Princess. I got to be reacquainted with the good, so-so, and bad in the 2+ weeks.
Embarkation was a nightmare. The inbound arrival was 5 hours late in disembarking. Check in actually stopped, as they had no place to put anymore people without violating the capacity for the fire escapes. Unfortunately, the Los Angeles vendor staff ...
Allow me to preface this review with I've sailed on Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Carnival, Celebrity and Princess on over 50 cruises so far. We booked a balcony on deck 11, B729 which was quiet, but smaller than other cruise lines. This was for 2, 7 day back to back East/West Caribbean cruises. I was on this same ship 3 month ago for 19 days from St. Petersburg, Russia to New York with a ...
Ports of call left a lot to be desired. Water pressure in shower was not adjustable. Ports of call were mostly third world poverty areas. Embarkation and disembarkation was fast. Dining was ok but the staff was excellent. Our room steward was great. Although our sink was slow to drain all during the cruise. The Broadway style show was good but could have been better if they geared it for older ...
I chose this cruise to take my elderly mother on a shorter cruise. I also chose it for the price and the way the main dining and other activities are all centrally located so she would not have to walk as much.
Summary:
The Dining was very friendly and accommodating, even when we didn't arrive on time. The food was mostly good. But the formal night did not not have the usual steak and ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. However, this boat is over the hill.
The food was very disappointing in the Crown Grill (my steak was inedible because of gristle - could hardly cut it) and Planks BBQ tasted like it was warmed over several time. My biggest complaint is that despite numerous complaints to the Grill manager regarding gristle in the steaks, they continued serving ...
Chose this cruise for the Itinerary, Panama Canal.
Wait staff and cabin steward was excellent, as usual on Princess.
While the production shows were good they were repeated multiple nights.
Was supposed to get coupon books, despite repeated promises from guest relations that never happened.
The new medallion app did not work on my iPhone 10. Several trouble reports supposedly issued ...
