This was my family's first cruise on Princess and I have to say we are extremely disappointed. We experienced so many issues, the most important being with poor quality of service. Here is some of what we experienced:
- Nights two and three we had horrible (and by horrible I mean nonexistent) service at dinner. Our other tables in our large party were literally finishing their entrees and we ...
Price, location, timing. Wanted to try another cruise line. Overall it was meh. Some poets were great. Others could have skipped. Wait staff in restaurants and our steward were great. Everything else was mediocre or even subpar. Lotus spa thermal suite is a rip off. Want my $200 back or will not even consider this cruise line again. Bed was excellent. Anytime dining dinner was also very ...
We always wanted to try Princess...when friends asked us to join them on Princess we jumped at the chance.
First the good:
Itinerary was great...especially the Hubbard glacier and Glacier Bay Park. Really great close up views of glaciers with park rangers giving commentary.
The bed was really comfortable.
Unfortunately, those are the only good comments I have.
Now the not so ...
In comparison to other cruises that we have taken, there were some obvious similarities as well as differences. Some services were great, some weren't. I will break it down (We took 7 day cruise with Coral Princess from Whittier to Vancouver).
Embarkation/ Disembarkation:
We boarded from Whittier, Alaska which is a fairly small port. Ours was the only ship. Luggage drop off and check in was ...
The Itinerary of the Cruise was extremely appealing and the truth is that the ports of call were wonderful and we very much enjoyed all of our excursions and ports of call. The specialty restaurants were outstanding and the Da Vinci restaurant was very good. We found the food to be very good.
The customer service and communications on board the ship were severely lacking. We received ...
We will NEVER cruise Princess again!
We took this Cruise because of the destination: Norway and Iceland:
This was a Special Family celebration cruise planned and paid for by Mom celebrating her 90th birthday.
Ship was very old and customer service the worst!
For Mom's birthday she got a banner and balloons that said: "Happy Anniversary." :(
Our scheduled family birthday ...
We were a family of nine and we chose this cruise because it fit into everyone's schedule. Next time we will not leave from Ft. Lauderdale. More than half the guests were seniors which meant that there weren't many things for children to do on board. The food was okay. I liked the food better on our first Royal Caribbean cruise. There weren't many dairy free dessert options. The staff, however, ...
Excursions too rushed and actually didn't see anything properly and definitely did not have the experience expected.
Summary - 'Been there seen that' - Not 'Been there and done that'.
Embarkation and disembarking were very well organised and efficient.
Cleanliness was high and service from our steward was excellent. No issue service wise.
Food was basically the same form day to day ...
Chose cruise for ports of call. Cruise experience did not meet previous princess standards. The crown is dated and not well maintained. The hotel staff were not as informed as prior cruises. Meal quality definately has declined. Dining room service was rushed. Since carnival acquired princess the past two cruises have been less than satisfying. On board pricing has increased and quality has ...
I choose Princess Cruise line to try a different cruise line.
The food was great. The crew members were great.
Just make sure you lock your stuff up. My husband had his sun glasses stolen from the room.
The maid re-hung the dirty towels.
I was promised an upgrade and it was not honored. I coordinated and planned for over twenty people and didn’t even received a ...
