Wife is a Vegan and thought the food selection was poor compared to the 40 plus other cruises she has sailed. I found the food selection fine but the taste just average. The Italian specialty restaurant was excellent for me but not for my wife as there were no vegan opportunities. They did try hard to prepare a pasta dish for her and she found it to be OK.
Buffet service above average.

This was out third cruise on Princess. We were previously on this ship once and her sister ship, the Royal Princess, once as well. After our previous journeys, our expectations were very high for this latest trip and, unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth and very quick. We had a mini suite which was very nice and a bit more roomy than the typical ...
I wanted to go on this cruise because of the location AND the chance to see a rare Annular Solar Eclipse in the China Sea.
I flew to Singapore (17 hour flight), arrived at this beautiful city, good accommodations, etc. Boarded December 7 for a 21 day trip ( Singapore-Vietnam-Thailand-Malaysia-Indonesia--back to back).
Embarkation/Disembarkation really easy-quick. Very efficient. The room ...
This ship was renovated in 2018 but it was not well done at all. The green carpet around pools looked dated and was always soaking wet. Pool furniture was also dated and tired looking. Carpets around ship all looked quite new but beyond that it seems Princess spent very little on this renovation. Balcony rails are very chipped and ship was very rusty looking. Food was at best average We ate mostly ...
My husband and I chose this cruise because we wanted to be on a ship for the 2020 solar eclipse. We have cruised Princess many times before but this cruise will be our last on the Princess line.
We have elite status so embarkation was a breeze - no problems there. The ship had just had all new carpet installed, new bedding in all the rooms, and new TVs. The new carpet did nothing to ...
We were expecting to see results of last year's refurbishment. We had a mini-suite, but, the beds were way too soft and lumpy, scuffs on furniture, dark stains in bathtub and on tile floor. Rust stains on balcony, varnish on balcony railing was worn off and chipped. One eyesore on the ship involved the elevator doors. They were a gold color and the paint was scratched and marred from suitcases ...
We chose this cruise because it went to several ports that we haven't been there before. But we may need a second thought next time to see Japan is good for cruise visit or rather land tour. Some ports are too quiet and some ports are having too short stay time. Besides, too many immigration process have wasted our time to go onshore to visit. Just wonder why they can't give multiple entry ...
1. Few crew members commented about working conditions and low salary. Because of the mandatory tip policy, management needs to disclose percentage of salary covered by tips
2. Better entertainment programs e.g. avoid repetition of performers. Encourage participation of talented guests,. To break the ice, the director should tell few jokes at the beginning of each ...
Wanted to see Panama Canal and last time we went cruising we were on The Island Princess and looked forward to returning to that ship since our experience was so positive. Many positive elements like Club Class dining which was excellent plus the staff was outstanding. Main problem was the room was too small for us. Tried to change and upgrade but, at the time, no rooms available. The gym was ...
Made for an inexpensive front for a back to back. Upon arrival at pier found staff to be rude and demanding when I requested to carry my bag onboard with me.
LACK OF SINGLES ACTIVITIES! The first single get together was nonexistent as no cruise activity staff bothered to show up.
All ports were easy to explore without spending any money for shore excursions.
The food was good but ...
