Was so looking forward to this cruise. The cruise itself was fine, but we all noticed a decline in standards. I used to brag about the food on Princess cruises, but sadly its not what it was. Not just the authenticity/interpretation of dishes, but the temperatues and timings they were served at. Dress code seems to be a thing of the past too. The bar staff in the Good Spirits bar we frequented ...
We had an inside cabin on the Ruby. The cabin was cramped but had a separate private storage area around the bathroom, which was nice. The food onboard was amazing. The buffet was small but had plenty of options for food. However, there were not that many free juices in the beverage area of the buffet. All 3 main dining rooms were very nice and had delicious food and waiters. The specialty ...

This was a 10-day cruise roundtrip from San Francisco to Alaska, aboard the Ruby Princess. This was my 7th cruise on Princess, 17th cruise overall, but first since Covid and first on the Ruby.
We had bus transportation from our travel agent from Sacramento to the ship – it’s nice not having to worry about driving or parking (or paying for parking), nor having to worry ...
This was our first time cruising. My daughter graduated college so we decided to make a family vacation out of it. We had 11 people with us and we where all excited to see Alaska and spend time together. We got lots of together time as we where booked to have 4 stops and only really had 2 due to ship engine maintenance. It was disappointing to say the least. We took the cruise to also experience ...
This cruise was chosen for Glacier Bay and I was not disappointed. I found the Crown Princess to be a beautiful ship and easy to navigate especially with the "Explore the Ship" function within the Medallion app.
I was disappointed that the itinerary was changed dropping Ketchikan and shortening Juneau. But even with these changes, I chose to stay on the cruise and I'm really happy that I did. ...
After the covid lockdown, it’s time for an enjoyable family vacation. Crown Princess brought our family on a 7-day cruise Inside the Passage to Alaska with 3 ports stop (Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, Canada) including Glacier Bay National Park.
Embarking
Embarking was chaos. We went through the tedious manual process. The medallion app was not able to ease our boarding. The team was ...
-Don't try to take a quick inland tour before your cruise. Do what we did and take at least a week to see inland Alaska (ride the Wilderness Express on the Alaska Railroad! You will thank me later!) I recommend this be a separate vacation.
-The Stewards/Stewardesses and Waiters/Waitresses are AMAZING! But just know ~$15/day gratuity will be charged to your room account daily. That is why ...
My husband and I cruise very often and we enjoy the Princess Cruise service. On this cruise, we had a balcony cabin on the Riviera deck towards the back of the ship. There was a sewage blockage somewhere in the ship and the cabins became flooded. The staff did their best to clean it up but I requested to change cabins. As you walk on that particular area of the ship, you can see the moldy residue ...
Overall a positive experience. But 3 of the 4 ports were Carnival-owned, meaning not much to see other than beaches. No dining rooms open for lunch on at-port days though the buffet is. In the dining rooms, portion sizes are smaller, but you can ask for seconds. Embarking and debarking seemed a little faster with the medallion, but we had a suite so that helped too.The Medallion app is clearly ...
We wanted a relaxing short cruise to get us back into cruise mode for the overseas cruises we have booked commencing in August this year.
Unfortunately to Check In on the Princess App was frustrating and stressful. It froze numerous times, quite often took ages to accept the info and move on to the next question and then several times lost the information completely and I had to start again, ...
