We've sailed on over a dozen cruise lines, but never on Princess. The smaller the cruise ship, the better, from our point of view, and the prospect of being on a ship with over 3000 passengers gave us pause. Nevertheless, we chose this cruise on the Emerald Princess because of its distinctive itinerary (Guernsey; Cobh/Cork; Dublin; Belfast; Glasgow; Orkney; Invergordon; Edinburgh and LeHavre), ...
Felt three day prior to embarkation witnessed lateral flow test total waste of time and money...test at embarkation far better.
Happy Princess stated masks should be worn walking around ship, on tenders and on coach tours but disappointed not fully implemented... about 10 per cent not wearing masks anytime!
Very good cabin D421, spacious and comfortable but beverage tray not standard as ...
After a 2 year break for COVID, we finally joined Island Princess for a 14 night circular trip from Southampton. The Ports we visited were all familiar but we had arranged to meet friends in Inverness and Dover and cruising was an easy way to get there. We chose Island Princess based on our previous experience and because it was a smaller ship. Overall, there were no major issues but everything ...
Wanted to set sail on July 29th celebrating this 50th Wedding Ann. day with my husband and daughter on a 14 day British isle cruise with an extended week in London. (Last sailing was Jan.-Feb.2020 So. East Asia interrupted by covid)
Had a lovely time, however was disappointed in many ways.
Major problem ... Dine My Way .... preferred daily dining second seating around 7:30 at same table ...
My wife and i loved the cruise but we would have loved to see a comedian like Michael JR or Tim Hawkins who r family friendly comedians. We would also like to see fitness equipment for strenghtening back muscles. The YES NO game was a blast!!. All patron participating games were a blast to go to. The food was excellent. We sat with others and learned a great deal during our discussions at dinner. ...
This was our first Princess cruise after 18 on various other lines. The itinerary, 13 days from Fort Lauderdale to Quebec City was excellent. Quebec City is a must see. Only two sea days. The positives and negatives to us are below:
Positives
The crew was truly awesome! Service was very good. I liked the living area of the stateroom and particularly the large closet for a lengthy ...
I have chose this cruise for two reasons: first, the cruise ends in Quebec city, my hometown, second, I wished to try a princess cruise. Usually, I cruise on Royal Caribbean, Cunard, Celebrity and Norwegian and when I analyze and compare this cruise, it is always with the cruises I have done on these other cruise companies. In general, it was a good and honest cruise. This means that everything ...
First I must compliment the Princess transfer from the airport in Fort Lauderdale to the Embassy Suites. Our flight was 3 hours late and the Princess rep was still at the airport to meet us at 10:30 pm!
Embassy Suites was good. Hasn't changed much since I was there 5 years ago.
Embarkation day was horrible. Left the hotel on time and waited over 2 hours to get onboard in an extremely ...
We chose this cruise because of its varied itinerary—Florida to Quebec City with multiple stops in the U.S. and Canada. It was our first Princess cruise. The staff and our stateroom attendant were all excellent, the entire staff was masked for Covid and urged passengers to wash hands, wear masks and take precautions (many passengers too ignorant to do so). The entertainment was varied in multiple ...
This was our first cruise with Princess Cruises to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We have sailed between 20-25 cruises on various ships and companies, including Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, NCL and Costa. I have always heard how nice Princess is and the itinerary on this cruise made for lots of stops at places that we always wanted to see including France but more on that later. ...
