Over all this is one of the best cruises I have been on. Their Ocean Medallion program definitely made a huge difference in my opinion. Embarkation was the fastest I ever experienced on a cruise. That's the way it should be!
The only negative is the entertainment at the pool. The music was excellent, but was interrupted and cut short by an NFL game or movie. Movies should be played only in the ...
Our Granddaughter wanted to visit HI on a cruise having loved it the last time she visited the big island with her parents. She enjoyed the cruise much, having made a few good friends in the kids discovery club. She was happy to be on the Grand Princess as this is her second cruise on the same ship. She felt like she knew all the areas of the ship and wanted to walk around by herself like most ...
Not our first cruise, but has been a while. We decided to celebrate NYE cruising with our two teenage boys, and for the most part, the cruise was really enjoyable.
THE GOOD
Fully booked cruise, 2600 passengers, yet the ship never felt congested (in fact, at times it felt half empty). The shear number of public areas is fantastic, which effectively spreads out the guests and creates a really ...
Medallion has potential to be great parts of it are great like auto open doors of cabin when approaching , but it’s too complicated, didn’t work at all times and need to load multiple apps to make it work right, internet too slow. We love princess cruises but we like (ruby, golden, emerald design ships better) As usual food and service was exceptional and ship was very clean.
Shows and ...
Grand Princess is 21 years old and still in good shape with many attractive public rooms.
The multinational crew is well trained and friendly, the food and dining room service is fine, the entertainment is varied and well presented. There are many sea days on this itinerary and lots of activities to fill your days. The Hawaiian Cultural team was excellent with talks, music, dance, arts and ...
As people in our 40's this was our 1st ever cruise and Princess wasn't our initial choice... we originally had booked Royal Caribbean but cancelled that cruise when we found out it was going to be a "cultural enrichment" cruise designed for Asian passengers. So we decided to book Princess even though we thought Royal Caribbean was going to be more "fun" for us.
Having said that we are not ...
We chose this cruise because of the dates it went out.
We forgot that it was school vacation and that there would be so many children on board.
Most of the children, the parents took very good care of them, but there were a few that the kids, especially two little girls kept running around the halls and bar area, dragging on the floor. The bartenders had to keep telling them to please not ...
Did our homework and considered several options for a "skipping Christmas Cruise" Chose this ship because of the ports -- particularly St Thomas as it gave us time to go to St John and visit family as well as the convenience to Ft Lauderdale.
Beautiful ship and lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Would recommend the mini-suite over the balcony room because larger room and bathroom but ...
Our holiday cruise on the Regal Princess matches the reviews I read. It's a very pretty ship, super clean and well-maintained. The food is very good. The shows are really amazing, better than I thought they would be. The small cabins serve their purpose well enough. The attitude of the crew is pretty good, with a few odd or unpleasant incidences in our 7 night cruise. The daily activities, sports ...
Wonderful holiday cruise on the Regal. The holiday cruise had two formal dining nights. My group enjoyed the food and the atmosphere on the ship.
Just a touch about the average for service and care by the staff. The 7 day cruise to St Thomas and St Martin was a good trip. The people of the ship were friendly and in the holiday mood. I know carnival is cheaper but I would say you will be happy ...
