Very disappointed in Royal princess.. the food and entertainment was lacking taste! The theater was too small to seat everyone when you did try to go see something! And what they have for entertainment listed Seminars to sale u Botox, acupuncture and art? Really? On a cruise! And push their jewelry on ship and at the ports! The dress up Dinners was a waste of time... and Waiting... the food was ...

Bathroom shower was so small and cramped. No USB ports at all anywhere. Shore time was some of the shortest of any cruise we have ever been on 3-4 hours. This cruise company never stopped trying to sell us. Always wanting to take a photo of us, interrupting us at dinner wanting to take photos, very rude. Ship was so outdated and old. Had to replace the carpet in our room during ...

Expected much better as a first time cruise with Princess

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

Chose this cruise due to departure port leaving for Alaska. I have travelled with Tui, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Cunard before, totalling about 20 cruises. This was my first with Princess so can only compare them to my past experience. Decor in Ship was very nice, entertainment activities were plentiful and bar staff was very attentive to the heavy drinker. This was the good ...

A cruise to avoid

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

We started off cruising on Carnival Cruises 15 years ago. We loved Carnival, but they didn't offer cruises near our house in the San Francisco bay area. We decided to switch over to Princess for the convenience. our last 6 cruises have been when Princess. 5 on the Grand. Each cruise on the Grand has gotten a little lower quality. This last cruise on the Grand will probably be the last. When we ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Coral Princess

The itinerary and stops were great but the ship seems to be a little tired overall and maybe not the best value for the buck. So my vacation started with three days in Anchorage on my own.At this time the wildfires were pretty strong and every day there is a hazy smoke that you can smell and see that obscured the mountains. It was summertime and the highs are almost in the 80s which was unusual ...

We felt like prisoners on the Island Princess

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Island Princess

We are elite cruisers with Princess (have sailed on many ships) and booked two 7 day Alaska cruises from July 3 - July 17, 2019 on the Island Princess. This ship is sadly lacking in public amenities and the cabin was so small you couldn't escape to it either. There is no International Cafe, which on other Princess ships serves a menu of very fresh food for 24 hours a day. After 11 pm the only ...

Overpriced, disorganized and unhappy

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Crown Princess

The itinerary is great and one would think that it would be perfect. THINK AGAIN. First, this is the first time I have ever had my passport confiscated on arrival. I have cruised all over the world and this has never happened. IF this is necessary, tell people before they board the ship because when you get of the ship at a port WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO USE AS IDENTIFICATION???? Second: the ...

Poor quality meals and high price beverages

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Whilst the embarkation and dis embarkation went very smoothly and the cabin and the ship itself was of a good standard we were left feeling disappointed at quality of the food on offer and the additional charge if you wanted a steak rather than what was offered on the menu. The price of beverages was a rip off, $6.75 for a can of Guinness probably with their buying power they get it for less ...

28th Princess cruise and I think it's the last

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

Recently cruised 7 days Anchorage to Vancouver. I could hardly believe the poor food in the buffet, often lukewarm and poor quality, mostly stews it seemed. But the worst was the lack of cleanliness. Railings were shiny on top but I usually avoid the top rail because every other person has touched it. The 2nd row was almost always a sticky mess. This is not acceptable. Buffet on sister ...

Boring for Anyone under 60

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Caribbean Princess

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 20s

It was very boring if you are not 60 years old and looking to relax in the middle of the sun on the boat. The best part of the whole cruise was stopping at one of the 3 ports, St. Thomas. The other two ports, Princess Cay and St. Maarten, were not great and i would have rather spent that time in St. Thomas. The food on the boat was decent. The drinks were very expensive and the wifi was INCREDIBLY ...
