We wanted to go to Alaska from San Francisco. Alaska and San Francisco were awesome. The major issue with our cruise was the Medallion App and its poor performance. First, you HAVE to use it for many functions such as viewing your Folio. Although this is an option on your TV it refers you to the app. That happens a lot. It is constantly freezing up, has to be reloaded, staff has issues with ...
Absolutely zero Covid protocols on this ship despite being investigated by the CDC for 256 positive cases in 5 weeks. Make mask wearing mandatory, no smoking in casino, enforce hand washing at buffet and don’t let guest serve themselves at buffets. Those things could have prevented this from happening. I wore my mask the whole time and still got it. Loved the medallion, HORRIBLE NON EXISTENT ...
I have been on many cruises with various lines and this ranks as the worst. This was a back to service cruise and had I been advised that from the beginning I probably wouldn’t have gone. The internet didn’t work half the time. The medallion worked for a few things the first week but did get better the second. Making reservations for the restaurants never worked correctly. My friend and I always ...
Where do I begin?
Their package was all-inclusive as described however, included were the 15 drinks/day which didn’t rollover if you never made it to the 15 mark., unlimited intermittent WIFI per 1 device only., a specialty dining inclusion, (I’m pretty sure you had to pay for Sabatini’s Italian restaurant as well as pay a Room service delivery charge if ordered from app or in the stateroom ...
My previous Princess cruise was so great, I booked my next right away. I honestly didn’t care where. Like the last, it was amazing.
The problems didn’t arise until the last day. I used a low-limit credit card for my onboard expenses (zero foreign transaction fees). An unanticipated number of unsettled authorizations put me “over limit.” I received a call in the morning of disembarkation and ...
Have cruised 4 times with Princess and would rate the first three as 5 star. This cruise was the first cruise with a full ship after resuming sailing. Unfortunately it was staffed for a half capacity cruise. Embarking took many people 2-3 hours. The ship left 1hr 15minutes late because they could not get the people on board. Many people had dining and excursions they had ordered in advance ...
We have been on Ruby Princess 5 times since the restart of Cruising. The food quality in particular in the Buffet and Main Dining Room have been steadily declining. We were on Discovery Princess and were pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Ruby Princess does not have Hand washing stations installed in the Buffet. Even the Grand Princess have hand washing stations in the buffet. The Crew ...
Pros:
1. Ship is laid out nice
2. We had a mini suite. The bed was very comfortable and so was our suite. We would have preferred a "private" balcony. Ours did not have a ceiling.
3. Our stateroom attendant did a great job.
4. All the staff was very friendly.
5. Disembarkation went well.
6. Liked being able to order drinks from anywhere (albeit they took some time to get to ...
I dreaded writing this, but now is not a good time to cruise with Princess.
Staffing is a major challenge.......and it's not that people don't want to work, it's that Princess is keeping it's purse-strings tightly closed. They are clearly shorthanded, and the crew they have are trying their best, but are clearly overworked.
We were told that at times, the galley crew were getting breaks or ...
We have now spent 78 nights on Princess ships. There will not be a 79th. We recently sailed on the 23 transatlantic/Northern European cruise on the Emerald Princess. Our package included wi-fi. gratuities and a PREMIUM drink package. The drink package might not be bad for a beer or spirits drinker, but if you favor wine like we do the package is pathetic. Most wines that are listed as ...
