This was our third cruise with princess, after having a magnificent time on its sister ship, the Royal princess back in 2017 we thought we'd all get back together and try the regal! There were 10 of us ranging from 22-80 years old.
We were all very excited as we had all just loved our time on the Royal princess but I don't know if princess has changed post covid or cruising in general.
First ...
Just got home from this cruise. I have to say it was perfect. No complaints. Embarkation was crazy, but nothing Princess could have done about that. They were 2 hrs late getting into Ft Lauderdale and then had a surprise full Coast Guard inspection dropped on them at the last minute. There was a definite lack of communication about the delay. Some people got emails and let the Facebook ...
We cruise on Princess because we like their customer support, onboard staff and ease of accommodating us. We reserve a mini-suite so we have floor space for my husband's scooter. I like the size and comfort of the balconies. The Medallion application links us with each other, activities on the ship and navigation around the ship. We can make reservations for meals, spa, and theater activities ...
We still have one day left on our cruise ,but, quick internet speed on this sea day gives me this opportunity.
This is our first cruise in 2 years ,and since we live 3 hours away by car from port everglades, we took a shot during this very uncertain time in cruising. We have been loyal princess cruisers, but our last few cruises left us unimpressed and almost writing off ...
We chose this cruise for the length, (16 days), the itinerary, and the ship.
We were expecting a less than full ship, but in fact had only 1,479 passengers the first week and 1250 the second week. Having a small number of passengers made for lots of room and great and attentive service.
We upgraded our room the first day easily and at a great value.
We were so impressed with the ...
We booked this cruise - and then booked the following on (back 2 back). 1) HATED the Medallion thing till we got onboard. I really think they have to work on the technology. My husband and I both have the same phone...it liked his phone, not mine. The masking was at times a pain. We arrived JUST IN TIME for the Omnicron new measures. When we booked it was masks at embarkation and ...
That was our first cruise with Princess and really did not know what to expect although I always thought Princess was a very reputable cruiseline.
My expectation with Princess Regal was better than I expected. The decor is very tasteful and elegant. Not sure if it was because of Covid/half capacity of the ship, the food selection at the buffet was very limited and routine.
The port stops ...
We had last cruised to Alaska in late 2019 on Royal Princess, at which point we placed a deposit for a future cruise and then.... pandemic. Being relatively young, healthy, and eventually vaccinated, my wife and I were eager to make use of this deposit. This was our third try, the first two being cancelled, and we were fortunate to be able to go on a wonderful vacation.
We arrived in Ft ...
This is a great itinerary that hits the ABC islands in an 8 night/9 day sail from Ft. Lauderdale! Princess is doing it all right during these unprecedented times to keep everyone safe - the staff, the guests, and the islands they sail to. I felt safer on board than I do going anywhere in my own hometown. I am planning to cruise at least 3-4 more times this year, and Princess will be the one that ...
I was eager to go on a Christmas cruise. I booked one on the Carnival Horizon but it had to go into drydock so I signed up for the Regal Princess. After this cruise I believe it is a bad time to sail. The ship was at 60% capacity, which may seem like a good thing, but fewer people meant compromise. The food was terrible and repetitive. An interesting thing was that we were told there would be ...
