We recently came back from a 10-day Canada/New England cruise from Quebec City to NYC aboard the Caribbean Princess. While the ship-related aspects were quite good—at times excellent—the itinerary itself made it perhaps our favorite cruises thus far and should be on everyone’s cruise bucket list. Plenty of details about both the ship and the ports in this long review.
Background: My wife ...
Great cruise. We loved the Caribbean Princess ship. Enjoyed all the ports of call. Prince Edward Island was our favorite. We had an inside cabin B244. It was small but we were not in the cabin that much except to sleep and change clothes. It met our needs very well. It was in the front of the ship and it was a long walk to the rear of the ship to dine. The Medallion worked opening the ...
Looking for a way to see parts of Canada we had not seen and perhaps to get a glimpse of color, we chose the last cruise of the season from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale. Given the dates, we were not surprised that the weather caused us to miss two ports of call. We made up for it by relaxing on board...the second reason we chose the cruise.
The Royal Princess is the largest calss in the fleet, ...
We decided on this itinerary because of the many ports of call in both Canada and the U.S.. The ports of lived up to our every expectation. The on board experience was even better. The dining whether in the buffet, dining room or speciality rooms a was as fine as any on the seas. All of the entertainment was equal to or better than that found in professional productions in major cities. If ...
It's been 45 years since I have seen the leaves changing colors which provoked me to take this cruise. I did fulfill this item on my bucket list. The staff on this ship is amazing. They are polite, respectful and knowledgeable. For the most part, the food was excellent. My only complaint as a diabetic, is that the sugar free desserts are not good. There are many decent recipes for desserts. ...
The Royal Princess was a very nice ship. The upper deck, with the huge video screen, was great and the movies and live football games were well chosen.
The staff could not have been more helpful, especially our Stateroom Steward, Shanal. Our interior Stateroom was very clean, very efficiently designed, and very nice in general.
The ports were very nice even though the weather could ...
From the time we landed in Quebec to the time we took off from New York, this became the anniversary cruise I had only hoped for.
The cabin was roomy and the bathroom was bigger than expected. And on our anniversary we had a card, ballons , sign and a complimentary dinner.
The Crown Grill is the top of the line for a steak and the sides were just as good. But as wonderful as the Crown ...
Itinerary was the determining factor. Quebec was VERY nice but rain was a factor. Rest of cruise OK but a hurricane interrupted a port call. We spent an extra day in Halifax, NS which was finne. Other ports nice. A balanced trip with port and sea days. The Canadian ports were friendly and mostly walkable.
The ISA ports were OK but we have visited most of them before. Newport RI was scenic with ...
Repositioning from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale, where our home is in Hollywood.
There were only 3 children on board, making it an adults only cruise. Great people to enjoy a treat and coffee at the International Café. The original production shows in the theater were outstanding. Very relaxing and the food as always was spectacular.
MILK: I really enjoyed the whole milk as a treat on board. ...
We arrived in Quebec City Oct. 19' 2015 for a great time to Houston. We flew LAX to Quebec City, stayed two nights at the Hilton, very nice, easy walking to the old city.
We had been to Quebec City on another cruise, so we walked and used tear Hop on Hop off big bus. Another great experience for us. The people, shopping, food all very good.
Our embankment on the ship was quick, easy and ...
