Some very good, some not so nice

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We picked this cruise because of the timing and location - early August in an area that is not too hot at that time of year. We stayed at a hotel in Quebec City the night before the cruise began - that gave us a little more time to see this charming city. Embarkation was a breeze - we dropped off our luggage, had essentially no paper work because of the Ocean Medallions used by Princess on ...

Never Again for Princess

This was our first and last Princess cruise. We have been on over 25 cruises on various lines and never encountered such terrible customer service before. Their team is incompetent and excels in" customer service non service". Anything we asked about was oh, that's not us you have to call .... or we'll take care of that when (in reality, if) we get to it. For example, it took us over a day to get ...

Nice Cruise ship but excursions are limited (and sell out quick).

Let me start by saying that the actual ship is very nice and we had a nice trip. PROS: The cruise directors, Andrew & Andy, were really fun. The entertainment was very good. We enjoyed the various trivia games, there was a great magician, awesome juggler, and very interesting high-tech lights\video\music act. The food was great in both formal dining room and buffet. They have great video ...

We chose this cruise since I have always wanted to go to Quebec City and we thoroughly enjoyed that French-speaking port. We had good weather--in fact in was hot in Quebec City. Our second favorite port was Portland, Maine, an attractive and charming town. We had been to Boston and Halifax before, but enjoyed both of them again. The trip was rather port-intensive and I would have liked more ...

We are frequent Princess Cruisers and booked this ship and itinerary with a few friends, this one beginning in Quebec City, ending in New York. The plan originally was for my husband and I to rent a car and drive to Quebec City, but Air Canada had $99 fares, too good to pass on. My brother generously offered to pick us up at 4:30 in the morning for the ride to Boston’s Logan airport. I don’t know ...

Froze! Ship should never have been sent to Canada!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Royal Princess

Great itinerary, Unfortunately, bad weather kept us from stopping at 2 ports. It appears as if there is NO heating on board. Cabins and public areas were below 70 (and sometimes even in the 50'S). Complaints to the staff elicited sympathy but no relief. Stop In NY was shorter than others. A pity, since there was more to do and the ship was docked in Brooklyn! The piazza was nice and there ...

Weather be damned

Looking for a way to see parts of Canada we had not seen and perhaps to get a glimpse of color, we chose the last cruise of the season from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale. Given the dates, we were not surprised that the weather caused us to miss two ports of call. We made up for it by relaxing on board...the second reason we chose the cruise. The Royal Princess is the largest calss in the fleet, ...

Experienced Princess cruisers but very disappointed with this cruise

It was advertised as a Fall cruise to see the colorful foliage and experience the European ambiance of eastern Canada. It was scheduled way to late in the year. The color was long gone from the trees and it was awful weather, very cold, snowy, windy, rainy. Missed two ports because off the weather. Way too cold for shore excursions. We know Princess has no control over the weather but, they ...

Overcrowded and missed ports

The Canada/New England colors were breathtaking. This was perfect timing and we really loved the trees. The ship missed two ports due to weather and we were very disappointed, especially Bar Harbor. However, we were compensated with $25...SERIOUSLY! The Quality of evening dining room food was poor. Three nights the meat was too tough to eat and no I don’t have dentures. Nightly ...

The Royal Princess had good and bad things about it on a Spectacular Itinerary

This was a cruise we have been trying to coordinate, or something like it, for years. It was specifically for the Fall Colors down the St. Lawrence, and the New England Coast leaving Quebec City to Brooklyn, N.Y.. The weather was what we kind of expected. We had, at various times, sun, fog, heavy rain, drizzle, strong wind, calm, dark clouds and one hot day (by the standards of the rest of ...
