This was our 20th cruise and 7th on Princess, so we are familiar with all things Princess. We chose this itinerary because we like San Francisco and wanted the stops in different countries before and after the Panamá Canal. The timing (November 17 departure) fit our schedule and we were very fortunate with the weather; we had only one day of rain, that being an all day rain on the day of PC ...
Hello all,
I took a bit of time to settle back from our cruise to fully digest all the activity.
Positive Points:
- Our cabin steward, Kurt was fantastic. We had an issue of me leaving dirty dishes outside our cabin after we had room service. I guess I was the one at fault here as I did not know to call Room Service to pick up the dishes instead of just leaving the dirty dishes by our ...
We had never seen the Panama Canal and this time worked well with our schedule. The shipboard entertainment in the evening was varied and of good quality. We particularly enjoyed the violinist and piano duo of Consonance and the choice of comedians, musicians and singers were excellent for such a small ship. The food was very good at all meals and at times excellent. The excursions were a mixed ...
We heard how good Princess is and we had traveled last year on a Princess. We wanted to see the Panama Canal and the cruise sounded just what we wanted. Embarkation and disembarkation went so very smooth. We were impressed. The service was awesome and our cabin sparkling clean thanks to our cabin steward. Was very much disappointed in that we were unable to take our scooter on the tenders and ...
The last cruise we were on was on an Oceania ship. We were spoiled and were not expecting that much from Princess. We were pleasantly surprised as it was lovely. The food on Princess is not as yummy as Oceania but everything was pretty good. The turkey dinner on Thanksgiving was surprisingly good considering how many people ordered it.
We chose this cruise because our kids live in San ...
We chose this cruise as a must do - bucket list. The ship was clean and well maintained. The staff and crew were courteous, kind and helpful. The food in all restaurants was excellent. The cruise director and his staff kept us busy and well informed throughout the cruise. The tenders at the port of calls were fast and efficient. The tours we were on were great. There is a lot of variety for all ...
Chose this cruise because of price and itinerary. Always bargains over U.S. Thanksgiving week. Interested in Panama Canal partial transit and Cayman stop on a Sunday-to visit relatives there.
First the bad stuff.A 10 day cruise without a decent cup of coffee. as coffee dispensers in buffet dining rooms dispensed coffee made from syrup. I wasted $33 on a specialty coffee package in order to get ...
Sailing the Panama canal was on my father's bucket list, so we selected this sailing to do it as a family group. We had several people in our party with dietary restrictions that were discussed with the sales rep before purchase, and we were assured they would be accommodated, and a high level of cuisine provided. This was not so. The vegan and gluten sensitive person in our party went thru a ...
Great value for money .majority of pessengers ware 50+so it was very quite.
Food quality and selection was very good. Shows and bars were well stocked with variety of menu.
The entire process of embankment and disembarked process was amazingly efficient.
Airport transportation is expensive compared to Uber/Lyft.Avoid that at any cost. Not only it’s expensive but wait time at airport is ...
The Panama Cruise was very interesting to us all(three couples), the itinerary was just as expected, varied and very interesting. The embarkation was a breeze, they let us on the ship as soon as we arrived at the port so we could relax, eat and have a drink. Our rooms were ready by 11:30 and we had our luggage waiting for us in the rooms. The disembarkation went just a smoothly, a well oiled ...
