We chose this cruise because we live in Southern CA and it was less travel to be on a cruise. We haven't gone for a number of years, for obvious reasons, and looked forward to the days at sea, port activities, and the destinations. The first afternoon on the ship, we went to the "app" to get dinner reservations for that night and found out that we did NOT have dinner (table or time) for the entire ...
We choose this short reposition cruise up to our home port, as it fit well in our vacation time and it only required 1 flight. We haven't been on Princess in over 15 years, but now Princess will be on our radar. As this was a last minute cruise we were able to get an amazing price on the Vista Suite, and will be hard to go back to a basic room. We found the staff friendly and approachable, and ...
Most of the major aspects of the cruise was acceptable. The room was clean, but very small. That's to be expected since it was an inside room. The food was the best part of the cruise. The dining room food was very good. The buffet was barely acceptable. Breakfast items did not change very much. There was not enough seating during the busy hours. The coffee at the buffet was terrible. It was very ...
This was was the second of our B2B cruises. When we originally booked it, it was not a themed cruise so we didn't actually get into it as some of the others aboard. Since we had booked the trip before this & we came all the way from Florida figured we might as well take both since it was our 1st time going out of LA.
Embarcation was very fast and easy.
Cabin was Penthouse Suite R6** midship ...
In 2015 we had cruised the Royal Princess in the Caribbean for 10 days and it was wonderful. The ship was less that two-years old, lots of activities, the food was great, service superior, and the ship shinned from stem to stern. It was very sad to see the declines of this once great line. The service is still very good, but the ship looks worn, and the only good food to be found was in ...
This was an 80s themed cruise and that was very appealing. However, the only thing 80s was the nightly show at 7:30 or 9:00. Very little 80s anything other than some cheap paper signs and inflatable cell phones.
Ship is so old. Our balcony was rusted through on the front. The spa was a mess. Lockers were broken and you couldn’t lock them so we were told just stick your belongings in there it ...
Ship was good overall, dining not so much out of 5 nights at the mane dining rooms 4 of them the food was not great I had to return it.
The choice at the dining room limited and not up to talking standard .
I preferred to go up and eat at the buffet.
Internet is awful it doesn’t work .
Coming to the restaurant where you pay for your diner was amazing at the steak grill restaurant ...
I am appalled by the amount of negative reviews. We took 6 days California coast cruise and have nothing even slightly bad to say, maybe it’s because we don’t feel entitled. Let me break this down
1. Service - every crew member, and I mean every single one, greets you with smile. People who work their butts off 12 hours shifts for 6-9 months still keep a smile on their faces. Room gets cleaned ...
This five-day getaway cruise out of and back to San Francisco with stops in San Diego and Ensenada Mexico was to get away alone in order to get some personal work done in the stateroom while also enjoying shipboard activities. The mini-suite stateroom was superb: comfortable, no issues, and spotless upon arrival; everything worked and most impressive were a few small sensor lights that turned on ...
We chose this cruise because the timing was perfect and were excited about boarding a fairly new ship. This was an 80s themed cruise. They did have a couple of 80s cover bands, we attended Journey and Bon Jovi. Both shows were pretty good. The DJ in the Vista Lounge played quite a few 80s hits as well. We were in a mini-suite and the room itself was very nice.
The service, food, and medallion ...
