This was our 3rd Cruise, two of which were only 7 days each. Our last one being with Princess in Alaska. We were happy then so tried them again.
This time it was 37 days at sea on the Sapphire Princess ship from Southampton to Singapore.
Before we booked we wondered if it was too long a cruise and also could we cope with the 6 days in a row at sea?
This cruise was AMAZING!! its itinerary ...
I wanted to cruise the Mediterranean thru the Gibralter strait.
Sapphire Princess is a wonderful ship, one of the Grand class- which we have liked the most of the many ships we have been on. this class is set up with most of the entertainmenton deck seven. On Sapphire and Ruby -three beautiful well maintained dance floors.
Kudos for bringing us singer Peter Howarth and the band "Atomic" both ...
Overall a great cruise with nothing negative to comment on. Great itinerary, excellent ships staff, good food good entertainment, what more could one want. Sailing down the Solent in daylight was a great experience, a good selection of continental ports, the weather could have been better but did not impinge on our enjoyment.visiting the many classical sights through the Mediterranean including ...
We just came back from an amazing cruise onboard the Princess Sapphire! The crew on board was awesome. The Cruise Director Paul and his counterpart were great. The morning show on the TV was very informative, funny and entertaining to say the least.
We had several great experiences on the ship:
Pros:
Employees were extremely friendly
Food was very good, lots of ...
This is the best Princess Cruise ship I have been on. The staff were kind, gracious and efficent, the ship was in very good condition and a pleasure to sail on. The ports of call were interesting and the shore excursions were very good. The disembarkation at each port was efficiently handled and with very little stress on our part (the passengers). The staff were efficient and courteous at all ...
I went on the London (Southampton) to Rome 10-day portion of this 35+ day cruise. The itinerary went on through Dubai, India, to Singapore. Most of the people I met were on for the full cruise. This was my 10th cruise, 9th with Princess, but my first time seeing Europe by cruise. I am 60 years old, live in the Midwest US, and a solo traveler. The ports were the determining factor in choosing ...
We had been looking at cruises online for a long time, and decided this was the one when we discovered I could be in Paris for my birthday ( October 22). It was beautiful in every way - from the movies under the stars, snuggling under a blanket while the crew delivered fresh popcorn, our comfortable stateroom with the most comfortable bed ever, the variety and quality of food, the excellence of ...
Best value for money, compared to other destinations and length of cruise. We visited ports and countries we would never have visited had we not been on this cruise. Lots to do on board the ship even when we had 6 days in a row at sea. Great variety of activities on board. From hand crafts to exercise classes, singing, dancing, banjo playing. Bible study classes to Bingo. Movies on the big screen ...
We received an up grade to a balcony cabin, had an excellent cabin crew member,Bambang. Rarely had any spare time as there was so much organized activity to keep us occupied. The ports visited in many cases were a first time for the ship and ourselves. We were offered a large choice of shore tours at each stop which we really enjoyed. The food choice and range was excellent at any dining place ...
Chose this cruise for the ports. Princess cruises is usually our first choice. The Sapphire Princess had just come from a refurbishment which was great. New beds , new flat screen TV's, new carpets etc. Embarkation went smoothly approx 45 min. Our first port was Sri Lanka then Cochin. Did the backwater tour in Cochin (ship tour). We really enjoyed all the ports. The weather was good and very ...
