Disappointing Experience with Princess Cruise Line

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Discovery Princess

I recently embarked on a voyage with Princess Cruise Line on the Discovery Princess. While the ship itself was beautiful, my overall experience was disappointing and didn’t meet my expectations. The ship lacked a variety of activities for children. They had a multi-purpose court and two ping pong tables, but the equipment was worn down and in need of repair. They didn’t organize many outdoor ...

No Aloha on this cruise.

We bid on an upgrade and were successful. Initially we were in a penthouse suite on Riviera deck. Room was too noisy to sleep so we requested a move. We were moved to Aloha deck at the back of the ship and unfortunately it was actually worse than the previous room. The guest service supervisor was rude and dismissive and told us we expected too much and should have spent more money on a better ...

COVID19 and Crowds everywhere.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

The food and service was wonderful. Panana Canal was the Panana Canal. Cartegena was lovely as was Huatulco. Punteranus not so nice. 2 things ruined this cruise for us. 3 of us got COVID 19 around day 4 or 5. There was no screening and no masking at all. What made it worse was that everything was overcrowded. Hard to get a table at the buffet. Hard to get a seat in the theater. Everyting was ...

Sad to say we feel this cruise was somewhat disappointing . First the boarding was easy, we arrived about 2pm and almost everyone was already boarded. Elevators were super busy we waited 20+ minutes to get one with room for a wheelchair. Our room was good and our steward (Arnel) was polite and efficient. We took in one show and it was subpar. Most disappointing was the food. Main dining and ...

We won't cruise with Princess in the future

We chose this cruise mainly because it was going through the Panama Canal which was fantastic, but unfortunately two of the original stops got cancelled, the stop in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua got cancelled just a short time after booking and Grand Cayman got cancelled as the swell was to bad for the tenders. Pros: All the staff were excellent The Medallion App seemed to work well The ...

Not worth cruising on!

We selected this cruise line and ship for the purpose of celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. While the first day went smoothly, we encountered issues when it came time to sleep. The stateroom had a significant amount of creaking and knocking sounds, which greatly impacted our ability to rest. Throughout the seven nights, we were only able to get one decent night's sleep, leaving us feeling ...

Mediocre meals and service with a premium price.

We chose this short cruise with family from brochure advertising. The program to register for this cruise was updated once and was the cause of hours of needless searching to complete registration. Despite the continuous hype on the last full day promoting a 10 star cruise, our experience was less than satisfactory. One waiter’s rude attitude at an evening meal caused us to reevaluate the ...

Chose because it was convenient and did not have to fly anywhere to catch cruise. Getting on ship was great - Gigi's Pizza and Sushi Bar were the best things onboard. They lost our luggage because paper tags were removed however, our luggage tags with our names were on the luggage but no one was clever enough to look our name up. Called downstairs at Pursers office at least 10 times and no ...

Nothing to do

If all you do is drink then this cruise is for you! There was nothing to do for us since we don’t drink. I went with my husband and our two sons in their twenties and we just wondered around and played cards that we brought. The deck was too cold and windy to do anything. So the ping pong and basketball court was out. With all that space on a big ship it would be nice to have an indoor game room ...
