Wonderful California Coastal Cruise

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Emerald Princess

There were 3 of us traveling...me (40's), daughter (12 1/2) and mom (70's). We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, which was CA coastal (with San Francisco overnight). My mom and I had sailed with Princess many times (8 for me and 25 for her), but had been primarily sailing Royal Caribbean recently. We initially booked a mini-suite, but had concerns of only having the tub/shower ...

Great staff, great food

We had not been to several ports in this itinerary, so we thought it was a good choice. The ship is a little dated ie: shower very small with curtain as opposed to other ships with door to the shower. The cabin and balcony were a good size, except that there was no couch and just one chair to sit on. The two specialty restaurants were very good. The service and food was exceptional. The regular ...

Panama Canal Coast to Coast

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

Our cruise to the Panama Canal on Emerald Princess did not disappoint, it was a great ratio of at sea days vs port days. The embarkation and disembarkation both ran smoothly. The staff were exceptional, especially our cabin steward. On day 1 he got extra hangers for me and removed the small table, replacing it with an extra chair. Our balcony stateroom was faded and the age really showed but it ...

Quality of Princess Onboard Service Remains Outstanding

We booked this cruise at the spur of the moment, and did not shop around to see other options. That said, we were very pleased with the cruise overall. This was our eighth cruise on Princess, and the cruise line's quality of service has always been outstanding for every cruise we've taken over the years. The entire crew are wonderful - they all have a great deal of enthusiasm and are eager ...

Beautiful ship & great cruise

This was our 1st cruise out of LA but decided we would like to see the Mexican Riviera. (We live in Florida so usually go out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami.) This was the 1st of our B2B cruises. Embarcation was a breeze and the cabins were available shortly after arrival. We were in a Penthouse Suite R6** right across from the Concierge Lounge (husbands choice). It is a beautiful ship and the cabin ...

Another Bucket List trip completed

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

A transit of the Panama Canal has been on my Bucket List for many years. To finally do it was a dream come true! And to sail on a ship leaving Galveston, Texas, my "home" port was doubly exciting. And a Princess ship at that! How lucky can one person get. As expected from Princess, the ship was clean, the crew was wonderful, the food was delicious no matter where we chose to eat, and the ...

First trip thru the Panama Canal

The Emerald Princess is a roomy ship with plenty of outdoor space. I was most impressed with all of the staff. Shows were great. I did notice some cutbacks in the choices of food in the MDR. Overall, it was a great trip. Plenty of daily actives and enjoyed the pool at the back of the ship. Our third trip on the Emerald, we had never gone thru the Panama Canal or been to the ports of Huatulco, ...

My wife and I have cruised with several of the other lines. Far and away the best value has been Princess. Which is why this was our third sailing. Outstanding food with impeccable service. Excellent entertainment (especially the magic show.) Dine my way is the way to dine. Twice daily room clean up. A beautiful ship with friendly staff. The medallion opened our door without having to fumble ...

Spring Break 2023

As my friends and I planned our college spring break trip, we knew we wanted to go somewhere warm, drink, eat good food, meet people, and have a good time. Taking a cruise was an obvious choice and the price was right. (4 nights all inclusive Cabo vs. week cruise with Princess Plus). I’ve cruised quite a bit having done NCL, Celebrity, and Carnival; This was my first Princess cruise. I knew it was ...

Wonderful experience with a couple of minor head-scratchers of concern

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Royal Princess

This five-day getaway cruise out of and back to San Francisco with stops in San Diego and Ensenada Mexico was to get away alone in order to get some personal work done in the stateroom while also enjoying shipboard activities. The mini-suite stateroom was superb: comfortable, no issues, and spotless upon arrival; everything worked and most impressive were a few small sensor lights that turned on ...
