"On the negative side, one gets the impression that every available space has been squeezed to create revenue generating cabins, at the expense of public spaces that are surprisingly limited and more constrained for such a large ship compared to other ships we sailed on.The pool areas are also smaller than on other large ships, the jacuzzis are all tiny, and there is no free sauna or steam room access...."Read More

1-10 of 256 Australia & New Zealand Majestic Princess Australia & New Zealand Cruise Reviews
We choose this cruise for us and a family as we had this booked before covid so it was special. Just to be disappointing embarking the ship almost impossible even though we were given a time slot which they did not follow through long line ups. No sail ways entertainment very poor, movies under the stars daytime not suitable for children Edward scissor and west side story just voices no movie ...
Overall, and based on this cruise, I would say Princess’ standards are slipping. There are minor cut backs chipping away around the edges of what used to be a premium cruise line, perhaps due to the struggling parent company.
The Good
The room (mini-suite) was great, though I don’t know why they still use shower curtains. Perhaps that is because of the tub, and reduces cleaning? The only ...
This is a large ship built in 2017. The design is elegant, and cabins have some nice features such as large-screen TVs, a good choice of films, serials and documentaries and on-line information. On the negative side, one gets the impression that every available space has been squeezed to create revenue generating cabins, at the expense of public spaces that are surprisingly limited and more ...
We are just completing a New Zealand cruise from Australia on the Majestic Princess. We are Elite members of Princess and have cruised extensively with a number of cruise lines. We have always been happy with Princess before so it has been very disappointing to experience such poor service. We contracted covid on board. We found the medical team either overworked &/understaffed. The medical centre ...
I like to cruise to New Zealand due to the fact I am I wheelchair And I like to visit Wellington Tauranga and Auckland easy to get of at. So after all mucking around to go on this cruise ie: Proof of vaccines, rapid test, wearing of mask which was fine they were letting people walk straight into there eatery Market Place without washing hands and with out face masks ever while selecting food and ...
My husband and I were invited by my sister and her family to cruise to New Zealand on the Majestic Princess to celebrate her covid-delayed 30th wedding anniversary. This was our 3rd cruise to NZ on 3 different cruise lines and our 2nd cruise since Covid.
The Majestic Princess is using the Medallion App system. This means you can order food, drinks, check schedules, find your travel mates, book ...
We boarded the ship after they had returned from another cruise with 700 - 800 COVID cases on board. Because of this we were delayed boarding for about 4 hours during which time they thoroughly cleaned the ship while keeping us informed by text messages. Credit to Princess for this as to my knowledge we had no or very few cases on our cruise.
Boarding was a little chaotic due to the delay but ...
We chose this cruise because it went around parts of Australia and the overall package seemed a really good deal to us. We hadn't cruised Princess before but had heard good reviews and that it was a step above RCI and just below Celebrity so we were really looking forward to it. We started in Sydney on 12th February, the staff were all friendly and smiley (except for the young lady who served us ...
We were on the six day segment from Sydney to Adelaide.
So the major issue with this cruise was the poor attitude and service from the staff. With the exclusion of the cabin stewards, the rest displayed attitudes ranging from indifference to sometimes even hostility. None of the crew seemed to know much of anything about the ship, and seemed annoyed often to even be asked a question. I am ...
A beautiful ship. Service is the reason we come back for Princess even some not smile, why fuss about little things.
Usually February is the best time to cruise Australia, but this year we experienced rain, wind, rough sea, etc..
Bristol Sur La Mer offered good food but in the wrong location. A partition Is needed to seperate the restaurant and the passengers traffic.
Harmony Chinese ...
