World Cruise - not a true World Cruise - Do Not Waste your money or time

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Island Princess

A World Cruise (WC) was on my bucket list and Princess is our preferred Cruise Line (4 of us). This was NOT a cruise I would repeat nor recommend. The Island Princess is old and needs A LOT of repairs - rust, mildew, mold, water leaks, cabin entry doors not opening and more. All major safety issues - I worked in Transportation Safety for over 20 years and Island is NOT a safe ship unless it has ...

We were excited to sail to Hawaii and back over the Christmas & New Year’s holidays. We chose Princess because the dates aligned with our schedule, and they sailed in and out of Los Angeles, so we wouldn’t have to deal with airports during the busy holiday season. We knew from previous sailing experience that Princess doesn’t have the “best” food, however, we did have an expectation that it ...

I've been on Princess before and enjoyed it and, this cruise fit the bill of covering two holidays and, as a bonus, friends were also going. To begin with, I've been on almost 40 cruises this was the first ship I've been on where there was no sofa or chair in a balcony cabin. There was only the desk chair. Here's what was wrong with my cabin: 1. No place to sit 2. The bed was extremely ...

Overloaded and excursion guide was 45 min late

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Discovery Princess

The ship is beautiful but was 500 passengers overloaded and way under staffed. Thanksgiving week. Our excursion guide was 45 minutes late for a 4 hr $250 trip. We returned early because there was a 2nd group waiting. We got 3 hrs of our 4 hrs paid for. The excursion desk did nothing. When I found a real top person and complained, the manager of the excursion stated all was on time. He ...

My family likes to cruise and we have been on many other cruise lines. Most of our cruise experiences have been quite enjoyable. Occasionally, you run into an issue or two that almost always ends up getting resolved. This was my first time on a Princess Cruise. We booked this cruise for 10 of us to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the beginning everybody had non-stop issues and it completely ...

There arent too many positive things I can say about this cruise. The ship was kept uncomfortably cold the whole trip, the food was mediocre at best, entertainment was only fair, staff was pleasant but overworked, and the ship had numerous problems, including toilets either not flushing or overflowing. The food at the buffet was not hot at any meal. We ate breakfast and lunch there everyday, ...

I have plenty to say here, mostly negative, but... in all fairness... there were positives to note: PROS Embarkation process was very simple Using the Medallion for room access and purchases was very easy Outstanding nature presentations Excellent musical entertainment, comedians The ship band/orchestra is REALLY good Alfredo's Pizzeria (complimentary) produces consistently ...

Little planning went into our leap back on a Princess cruise to sail the inaugural with our friends whom merit the top loyalty level. Even they are growing disillusioned with the ever cheapening of the product. As one example, they used to get things for free that now are only 50% off to elites. Talk about taking toppings off the pizza while increasing the price! Boarding - long waits, ...
