I did this cruise 2 years ago and had a great time. This time everything was changed.
They said the ship was newly renovated but what they really did was add 100 staterooms. The result was less seating on the promenade deck inside. Elevator service was abysmal. LONG waits and overcrowding.
The room had NO 110 volt outlets near the bed, only 220v. They did give me an extension cord, but that was a major tripping hazard (and the cord was frayed). I ended up DUCT-TAPING it across the ceiling, an ugly sight indeed.
My cabins on my Norwegian cruises had no such problems!

Great ship for the fit..
Layout is different from other Princess ships
Buffet is great BUT very big, lots of walking. Seems 3 times longer than otherships.
Not good for passengers with walkers/scooters etc
Miss deck 7 for walking, walking only on top deck, very windy and cold.
No sit down lunches at dining room on sea days.
Only buffet, as I said..lotsa of walking

The food was very repetitive with little variety. All meat was touch and stringy.
The excursions were terrible as far as getting dumped off at locations (Ensenada in particular) where we spent 1 1/2 hours at a dusty, dirty Mexican flea market.
We chose Princess because of the itinerary and we had never gone with them.
This was the first and last.

We needed a quick get away and enjoy SF, Monterey and San Diego. Hadn’t been on Princess in a while.
We found the entertainment to be pretty good, comedy was clean and the magic show excellent.
