Mediocre Cruise but Memorable Ports

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Regal Princess

This was probably our once in a lifetime United Kingdom cruise -- 7 ports in 10 days -- England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. From the British Museum in London to war museums and, oh so many, castles, the overall trip ticked many boxes. Because this trip was port heavy, time and experience on the ship were more limited than usual. But, this was our 3rd trip on the Regal ...

10-Day British Isles on the Regal Princess

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Regal Princess

Fresh off a 10-day British Isles on the Regal Princess from 9/29-10/9. Overall, had a wonderful trip with 4 people in our party. Emerald deck Deluxe Balcony Obstructed view. No issues with the view, only the top of the lifeboats which were flat and you could see perfectly above them. The balcony actually felt heated because of being on deck 8. Embarkation was literally like 15 minutes but we ...

New England in the Fall

Never having cruised previously with Princess, we booked this cruise for the itinerary and sailing date. Embarkation in Southampton was hassle free, even for 3500 passengers, and first impressions of the ship were positive, as we experienced a well presented and polished interior. The 6 day crossing to Boston was rough with bad weather and a huge swell for most of the time. It was here that ...

Just got back from a cruise on Sky Princess. We were told in May we had to pay the balance which we did. On joining the cruise we found that other people on the same drinks package as us had better benefits even if it was there first time with princess, whilst Princess cruisers with multiple cruises under their belt had less benefits. To top this at the start of the cruise bars were ...

Overcrowded and underwhelmed

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sky Princess

This was a bucket list cruise to celebrate both turning 70 this year. We have sailed on Sky Princess twice before and booked New England and Canada cruise as we loved everything about the previous cruises and thought it a great fit for our special cruise. We had no idea that, after packages were booked and paid for, Princess would re-invent what they were actually offering in said packages. We ...

32 day Back to Back Cruise on the Sky Princess from Sept 16th to Oct 17th 2023. We also did this Cruise last year on the Sky Princess and how things have now gone way downhill. Penny Pinching Princess- Less Staff/Waiters around means very long wait times to get served both in the bars and dining rooms High percentage of Waiters are Training and therefore the quality of service is very ...

Great Cruise

After my less than stellar first Princess cruise on Island Princess in July, I was a little apprehensive about this one. However, it could not have been any different. Not only was the ship newer and in great condition but the whole experience was better, it was like sailing on different cruise line. Nothing on Sky Princess was my favourite anything from the cruise lines I’ve sailed but ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Sky Princess

Embarkation was ok after that it all went downhill. Firstly the mini suite is just that minute. It boasts a walk in wardrobe which is just a rail of clothes which are on show for all to see. The balcony is so tiny you can barely fit two people on. The ship does not have enough seating for passengers on a sea day of which there were many on this cruise. We booked 18 months ago in all good faith but ...

Worst cruise I have ever taken

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Sky Princess

I would not recommend Sky Princess its too big 3500 passengers you have to queue for everything nowhere to sit inside on sea days in poor weather. Small theatre and uncomfortable. Cabins OK but bathrooms small and poorly designed small shower with a curtain so floor is always wet. Menus poorly designed limited choice. Staff are as usual excellent and tye only good thin on the ship. I will never ...

Very disappointed

Cruise selected as destinations allowed us to meet up with friends and family. We are long term Cunard cruisers , having also travelled with several other lines including a previous Princess which was good. Boarding a nightmare at SOU, “stateroom” good ( mini suite with bath). Public room seating is for approx. 1500 passengers ,not 3500. Theatre seats 900 therefore two shows only ...
