An excellent, relaxing and fun cruise on a huge and beautiful ship blessed with calm seas and warm, sunny weather sailing through gorgeous fjords and mountains visiting varied ports of call.

This cruise had been on our bucket list for quite some time and a similar booking was cancelled in 2020 due to covid. Pre-Cruise Comments The necessary admin and check-in processes were confusing because some things are now in the new medallion app and others in the online personaliser where everything used to be. It was also frustrating because the app was often slow and sometimes ...

I chose this cruise as I wanted to see Norway and Iceland in one package The Good Bits - Great embarkation and disembarkation - The medallion app is quite good - Food ample and tasty - Entertainment in the main theatre excellent - Ship and cabin spotlessly clean - Staff in the main very friendly and attentive - Lifts work very well so there is little waiting - If on this particular cruise, the ...

Norway & Iceland 3rd June 2023

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Sky Princess

Weather First of all we were very lucky with the weather throughout the whole voyage, very little rain if any, bright sunny days cold at times but not freezing. Managed to get away with just jeans, a t-shirt and long-sleeved fleece jacket most days. The sea was calm almost every day, close to pond like a few times even when we travelled down the west coast of Ireland from Reykjavik on our ...

We were forced to cancel a cruise including Iceland due to Covid so we were looking forward to this trip. The ports in Norway were great with beautiful fjords and villages. We had 4 ports in Iceland and felt we were rewarded with great weather and a an immersive experience. We learned a lot about the history and life on this island nation. As for the Sky Princess, everything was as expected ...

Loved the Regal Princess with some qualifications. The ship is beautiful and very well kept. I don’t know when they did all the maintenance but it was never intrusive and everything sparkled. Our room steward kept our cabin in good order all the time. Embarkation was swift however we embarked at 10:30 and I understand that later there was a fire alarm that held embarkation up. We couldn’t ...

A Very Enjoyable Cruise

Our British Isle Cruise ranged from the good to very good, and in important ways, excellent. This was our first cruise on a Princess ship in over a decade, due to prior frustrations and disappointments with service. We disembarked from this cruise having had a thoroughly positive travel experience. Embarkation at Southampton was interesting because just after we completed our check-in, a ...

Our best Princess cruise despite a changed itinerary due to Icelandic storm!

We drove from Ickenham to Southampton and parked our car in Triangle car park from where we took a taxi to the Mayflower terminal. The cost of the car park including return taxi transfer to terminal was half the price Princess approved car parking was charging. We were at the terminal by 11.30am. Check in was very swift and once we got our medallions, we were onboard the beautiful Sky Princess ...

We picked this cruise to go to Iceland & Norway and wanted extra days at sea to relax. Due to the weather we missed 3 of the scheduled ports in Iceland, however I cannot blame Princess for this. What did impress us was what they did with all these unscheduled days at sea. The entertainment crew sent a new daily planner with many extra things to do for these sea days. The ship also gave us future ...

Our third attempt to make a visit, previous efforts cancelled due to pandemic and health. Whilst not our original itinerary, we thought it would give us an opportunity to tick some of the boxes. Pre- embarkation information trickled in to us gradually, but a lot of information was not easy to find. Filling in all forms before em arking was supposed to ease the process, so why was the 'green ...
