Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Sky Princess

We have recently completed two cruises on the Sky Princess and had problems with both of them. The first was to the Mediterranean. After making the initial booking we decided to upgrade to a better cabin. Big mistake! We were allocated one that was low down and well forward, right above the theatre so that every afternoon from about 3.00pm until late evening we heard nothing but loud drumming in ...

This was my 24th princess cruise and this ship has a lot of issues. We did the premium package so included two speciality restaurants and premium drinks. The issue here is the staff on princess are lovely but they have no training on drinks or the premium pack - they wouldn’t know premium if it came up a bit them on the behind which was unfortunate. Before princess can execute a premier experience ...

Northern Lights – Out There Somewhere

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Island Princess

SUMMARY The main reason for joining this cruise is the chance see the Northern Lights, as the Ports visited are not very interesting, especially when it is cold and wet. Island Princess is now the smallest ship in the Princess Fleet (as is Coral Princess), has limited dining options and only two main lounges. Food and service were good. Daytime entertainment was poor but we had a great bunch ...

COVID CANADA + NEW ENGLAND TRANSATLANTIC CRUISE

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Sky Princess

PRE-CRUISE INFO / ARRIVAL AT THE TERMINAL * No reference to the need to wear masks for the first 7 days of this cruise until our arrival at the embarkation terminal. Had this been made clear earlier we would have forfeited our deposit and cancelled this cruise. Thankfully once the ship was given the all clear when we reached Canada, masks were “recommended” rather than “mandatory”. * Moved ...

Could be much better?

Chose this cruise because we had never been to Canada. First the positives! The ship was lovely, clean and modern. The service everywhere was exemplary. Cheerful, helpful crew. Food: the menu items in the main dining rooms we found rather unusual! A bit too adventurous for our tastes, but decent food. The buffet, at first impressions, was great! Always at least three meat joints, plus lots ...

Less than Stellar

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Enchanted Princess

We chose this cruise based on prior cruises with Princess and because of the itinerary. We thought it would be a good value for the experience. Overall this cruise was pleasant, but there were a lot of factors which prevented this from being a "five" value. Most of them appear to be at their root issues with management and systems (both design and implementation). Most of the time each day we ...

Missed opportunities

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Enchanted Princess

We chose this cruise primarily for the destinations and the price. We are normally loyal to Celebrity Cruise Lines but we thought we would try this transatlantic cruise because it was somewhat less expensive than Celebrity for, what we thought, a similar product. I'll start by saying that the staff on-board the ship are amazing. They are interested in making sure you have a good time and try ...

A needed escape after Covid

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

This was our 10th Cruise, and we enjoyed Princess on two previous cruises. So we decided on this cruise because of previous satisfaction with Princess and for not having a lot of SeaDays and the amount of time in Port, every port. Firstly, they have to make the Medallion method more user friendly. After using this system, I don't know how this is any better than any previous systems of ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

Lots of British stops we haven't been to so picked this cruise. Medallion App doesn't work every time so easiest thing to ring Princess before you sail to set up you info, and once aboard, if you order more than one drink at a time , even if you have the drinks package, you get billed for the drinks- have to go to reception to remove payment. Embarkation a doddle - 10 min from arriving at ...
