Not the best from Princess

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Crown Princess

We were very disappointed in this ship. It is the 6th Princess ship we have been on, and it looked ragged in many respects. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7-week cruise on the Majestic, and, so far, that's our favorite ship so the others pale in comparison. The technology is dated, along with the decor. We didn't realize we were spoiled on the Royal, Regal and Majestic that had movies-on-demand ...

Never again with Princess!

We have sailed most of the major cruise lines and Princess was our favorite. We were married while on a Princess Alaskan cruise, and so we choose to sail the British Isles with Princess for our 10 year Anniversary. We were extremely excited, but we came back beyond disappointed with our experience. It was by far our worst vacation. If it hadn’t been for the independent tours we booked on our ...

Not like Princess used to be

Itinerary was great--places we'd always wanted to go--but the cruise was very disappointing. Ship was very worn and overdue for a rehab. AND, it seemed understaffed. The crew was working extremely hard but service wasn't what we have had in the past from Princess. The dining staff was practically running to service all the tables. Our cabin steward was extremely good. Front desk staff, ...

GREAT IDEA, POOR SERVICE, AND EXECUTION

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Crown Princess

We chose this cruise for the ports of call. They included Bruges(which we had visited before , along with Copenhagen,Oslo, and Helsingborg (which we had never seen). We had taken Princess before and knew service was hit and miss so we did not have high hopes , but service was worse then expected. Embarkation was long and disorganized with nary a Princess staff member in site(a common theme on this ...

Not up to usual standard

We wanted to visit the countries nearer the artic circle, especially Iceland. We have done about 6 Princess Cruises over past 15 years, and without doubt we have found that since Princess Cruises sold out to Carnival, the standards have dropped dramatically, while the dollar gouging has increased with hidden charges and overpriced ship items. The compulsory tipping levy to me has always been ...

A tired old ship, poorly excuted

We are Princess Platinum, (big deal I know). We also have sailed HAL and celebrity. We are in our mid 50's but retired so we tend to be among the youngest on board. As a result, we never have to wait for treadmills, but do note they don't open until after 8 AM. We wanted to check out sailing from Southampton, you know, the same day logistics from the overnight flight and Heathrow to the Pier, ...

because of the itinerary. We chose this particular itinery because it was going through all the Fjords and also stopping in the Lofoten Islands the home of my Grandparents. My family of 11 ( 3 daughters, 3 Granddaughters, 1 Grandson and his soon to be wife, 1 Great granddaughter and my son in law. We cruise as a family often and have had as many as 16 on a trip. Early in the planning I called ...

Princess Cruises is not what it once was

This was our fifth cruise on Princess. Our previous four cruises had been to the Caribbean (3 cruises) and to Alaska (1 cruise). We have also been passengers on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Oceania and Costa. We tend to choose our cruises based on itinerary and ports offered. This cruise had a great itinerary and what made it special for a British Isles cruise were the stops in Liverpool, ...

Will never travel with Princess again

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Crown Princess

The only reason we booked this Cruise to Norway was the perfect date for shoot term finish. We had stress free travel down to Southampton, which we loved, but the Mini Suite does not look any different to the Balconies we experience on other cruise liners. There are no advantages to booking the mini suite it's exactly the same and one receives no benefits with faster check in, check out, unless ...

The good & the bad of the Caribbean Princess British Isles Cruise

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

This ship has been recently redecorated while in drydock & looks great but there were some plumbing issues in our bath room that still needed to be fixed-slow shower drain & flusher not working. The beds were new & comfortable but unfortunately the food was just mediocre. This was our thirteenth Princess Cruise so we signed up for Anytime Dining which has never been a problem. The first night we ...
