This was our 2nd time on Island Princess. Overall it was a wonderful cruise. Cruise Director, Calli Smit and his team were outstanding especially Sandi and Heather and Mattie. The only downer were minor and had to do with food. The gravy and other sauces were watery. The noon-time pizza in Sabatinis left much to be desired. The matre d in Sabinitins need a class on being a congenial host. ...

As a solo traveler, I got a really good deal, which is rare obviously. I just wanted to get away and try and build up my next tier for cruising on Princess. Additionally, I wanted to check out the ship and try and relax and have a good time, which I did. As a previous passenger on the Pacific Princess last month, I really enjoyed the Island Princess even more. It was on a bigger in scale scale, ...

We were very excited to do this as well as all the excursions. Paid mucho dinero $$$ for the expeditions that were average and now, in hindsight very overpriced! I feel ripped off by Princess. Did the 12 day cruise-tour. First night at Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage which was very nice, great room with views of water and town (corner room), eating at a local pub called Humpy's which now in ...

Island Princess - Ft. Lauderdale - Vancouver Departing April 29, 2011First, allow me to mention Continental Airlines which we used to fly from Vancouver, BC Canada to Ft. Lauderdale via Houston. It was awful! I think sardines in a can have more shoulder room than people on a Continental flight. We left close to on time from Vancouver which was good. Vancouver must be a prime spot for the ...

Island Princess, May 11-14, 2007 Room C219 Spring repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver BC My husband (DH) and I have five cruises under our belts, but we convinced my sister (DS) and our 30-year-old daughter (DD) that a short trip along the West Coast would be their perfect introduction to cruising. DS has anxiety attacks about travel, and the fact that she agreed to come along was ...

May 6, 2006 Los Angeles to Vancouver via Alaska, Island Princess repositioning cruise. Embarkation. We arrived early (noon), but there was already perhaps a 200 person line. People were processed quickly and efficiently. While waiting we were under a canopy and there was water and seats. We were in our room by 1pm. No problems and boy were we impressed. Ship. This French-built 3 year old ship ...

OK, this is looooong partly a diary, partly a review, partly some random thoughts about our Island Princess repositioning cruise from LA to Vancouver via Alaska. Embarkation: We embarked at the Port of Los Angeles, 10 minutes from home. Princess had 2 ships in port, and the Sapphire was at Berth 93, the new and preferred embarkation location. We arrived at 1:15 at Berth 92, where you have to ...

We are a family of three, we traveled with our 4 year old. Previously we have only sailed Celebrity and we are looking forward to many future Princess cruises. Embarkation was easy and quick- just find out where the ship will be docked when you return as we parked our car at one pier and returned to another. Getting back to our car on arrival day was a nightmare and fortunately the only bad thing ...

Island Princess Panama Canal March 5-15 Ft. Lauderdale: As we wanted to make own flight arrangements through a travel agent, we flew down on March 4. We always go the day before in case of weather and flight delays. Arrived in Ft. Lauderdale by noon, called the Embassy Suite shuttle and checked into the hotel. Our room was not ready, so walked around enjoying the shopping areas and ate lunch at ...

We are Platinum members with princess and have sailed a total of 25+ cruises. Being British, my wife and I flew from London HRW via British Airways on a Princess package arriving in Miami a day before the cruise departure. The flight was uneventful and unmemorable being completely full. We were met by a Princess rep and our luggage taken care of. After a lengthy wait for a coach, together with ...
