My criticisms are mostly to do with all of the hassles prior to the cruise, plus of course the unilateral policy changes after I had already bought my ticket.

I chose this cruise due to what seemed like a great price without the 100% single supplement that Princess usually charges. My cruise was 14 nights in duration, not 7 nights, so leaving Vancouver and returning home at the end. My criticisms are mostly to do with all of the hassles prior to the cruise, plus of course the unilateral policy changes after I had already bought my ticket. It seems as ...

PRINCESS KEEPS GOING DOWN

I recently went on an Alaska cruise tour, 7 day cruise with a 4 day land tour, Princess is cutting corners, from the selection and quality of their food to adding bogus charges on your account. They have a big sign on your door to swipe your medallion and win prizes. What they fail to mention is if you swipe your medallion you get a $50 casino charge on your account. The food in the main dining ...

Don't see what the hype is

This was our 1st cruise and likely last! Our trip started and ended on less than pleasant vibe and for the $8k spent, I don't see why people cruise! We left out of Vancouver BC where 3 other ships were departing which means thousands of people to process in security so 4 hrs were spent in zigzag line. We were thirsty (no water source the entire time) and starving so we tried out the ...

We had taken an Alaskan cruise on Princess back in 2019 and wanted to take our grown children and their spouses on one because it was so wonderful. I had shared all my excitement with our kids and talked them into trying a Princess Cruise. I was embarrassed as to how this cruise came nowhere near lining up in any way with what I had promised them based on our previous one. Don't know if I'll take ...

Great scenery and trip but the ship was subpar

We took a cruise from Whittier, AK to Vancouver. Loved the scenery throughout the trip and being able to travel through Glacier Bay. Going to Glacier Bay and our scheduling window was the primary reason we chose the Grand Princess instead of a Royal Caribbean ship. The Grand Princess felt very old overall. They had "upgraded" our room to a rear balcony instead of the port side room we had booked ...

The ship is veru old and dated. The bathroom in the cabin was not cleaned well and smell of urine after a few days. The disembarkment was very disorganized. Staff were not available to give instructions or answer questions. The entertainment was lacking and the variety of entertainment was disappointing. The sheets and pillow cases were not changed the entired ten days of the cruise. The ...

Chose this cruise due to departure port leaving for Alaska. I have travelled with Tui, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Cunard before, totalling about 20 cruises. This was my first with Princess so can only compare them to my past experience. Decor in Ship was very nice, entertainment activities were plentiful and bar staff was very attentive to the heavy drinker. This was the good ...

We started off cruising on Carnival Cruises 15 years ago. We loved Carnival, but they didn't offer cruises near our house in the San Francisco bay area. We decided to switch over to Princess for the convenience. our last 6 cruises have been when Princess. 5 on the Grand. Each cruise on the Grand has gotten a little lower quality. This last cruise on the Grand will probably be the last. When we ...

Overall Disappointment

Grand Princess needs to call it a day! Food was HORRIBLE. Just Horrible!. It was almost as if they threw together left overs and called it something different each day. On a positive note it kept me from eating too much. I believe I had 2 good meals on a 10 day cruise. I noticed that the décor is very out dated and some of it was distressed or broken. I had one family member have items ...

Gift from my Daughter, a Daddy Daughter Cruise. Our first problem was the Internet She Paid for premium. Kept dropping, took 10-15min to load a page. She was told by computer staff ‘It’s the fog. That was luedicrous!! For a $2,000.00 Cruise @ having access to just two restaurants seamed cheap! It was also the worst buffet we’ve ever encountered. The pastries were like stale Sarah Lee ...
