We have cruised with Princess over fifteen times. The service, food and drink staff were outstanding on the Sky. The medallion worked great, the staff greeted us and had our drink orders almost instantly. Our balcony cabin on the Sun deck was modest in Interior size but had a nice deck for two reclining chairs. Being right next to the adult pool was very convenient. Entertainment was wonderful, the Rock Opera was a stand out. Our late dining crew jumped at every request. The chefs table dinner was truly extraordinary, very lucky to have been chosen. The events crew always had lots of activities for us to participate in. The shops were expensive, especially for jewelry. The daily afternoon tea truly differentiates Princess in the luxury cruise market. Spa service was very personalized and not overpriced. Ability to check our invoice in the room or on our I phone was wonderful. The internet service has to be reset once or twice but the best service I experienced at sea. All in all the best cruise we have ever experienced on Princess, highly recommended. Read Less

Sky Princess Jan 11, 2020 cruise. Awesome and a beautiful ship. Pastels, tans, blues, green. Low maintenance construction. Chrome, stainless, anodized aluminum, PVC over the outside railings. Rubber gaskets for the windows, not calking, brass, wood of different varieties. All beautifully executed. Music just about everywhere, all the bingo and trivia you can handle. More than any other ship we were ever on. Casino has multitudes of new slots. We donated. Bingo was hosted by “Fortuna Luck” That is what she called herself. An excellent bingo host. Lots of fun. Rafel Urdaneta worked in the Casino and gave out the bingo cards and the pads. Could never do enough for everyone. Always helpful and a smile. The best deal was $69.00. You get the pad with 36 cards on it, a triple card for four games and a $5.00 scratch off. Last game, last day of the cruise cover all gave away over $2,700.00 won by 3 people. Over $900.00 each. Not us. 7 bingo sessions, not every day. Some twice a day. Trivia was done in a way all ships should do it. Deck 7 Live with a large screen. In large letters. Gives the Question and number. So even if the host has a heavy accent, you can easily read it. Every day was enjoyable. Slice pizza we did not care for. However Alfredo’s pizza and service was excellent. Our server Nipan Kalita was on the ball and always a smile. The steak house was no good and no service either. Terrible! First to be seated at 5:00PM. Decided no appetizer. Wanted to get to the 6:30PM show. Ordered the Filet Minion. 40 min. later it showed up. Steak and the mashed potatoes were warm and did not bring my asparagus. The waiter never returned to our table. Finally got the desert and left. 6:40PM. Never made it to the show. No excuse for that. By the way. The filet was on tough side, no flavor either. They need to learn from Alfredo’s. Carnival still has the very best at sea steak house. We no longer do the MDR. Only the buffet and the specialty restaurants. The buffet is super big. No lines and never a problem finding a table. Utensils are wrapped up in the napkin and on the tables. In the evening, it is like a restaurant. Place mats and stemmed glasses for water. Anyone will get your drink for you, even the bar. Kept the tables cleaned. The food itself could be hotter. However the variety was excellent. Quality was also excellent and the deserts were unbelievable. Not just cake. Comedian was very good, magician was excellent. Rock Opera was excellent. Had no real problems at all with the elevators. Just those that enjoy packing themselves in one that is already full. Our balcony state room E429 was very nice but, very small. Including the super small bath room. Shower was fine. Cruised on 30+ different ships. This was the smallest by far. Beds were very comfortable and our room steward Thomas from India, was up and above. The best we ever had. So all in all, a very enjoyable cruise with really no down side. Our first evening we had super rough seas and the coat hangers kept banging the open closet walls. You can see what I did to stop it in the picture. Put a towel over the hangers. The medallion worked fine. However the daily things to do before you take the cruise is not the same. It changes. So do not do what I did. Figure out what you want to do each day in advance. A waste of time. Do we recommend the Sky Princess.? We sure do. Read Less

Thirty eight years ago we boarded Royal Caribbeans Sun Viking for the first of 46 cruises.. On this January 16, 2020 we see the lights of Ft Lauderdale as we sail up the Stranahan channel on this warm Florida morning. The reality of the moment is here. We are now in our 80's and the rigors of travel have finally caught up. This is our " LAST CRUISE." We chose our favorite ship, Crown Princess. She fits us like a glove. This is a review of the trip. On Jan 6 we boarded our Delta jet for our flight to Fort Lauderdale. Weather in Detroit was 33 degrees. Upon arrival in Fort Lauderdale it was 72 degrees. We arrived at the terminal, picked up our Elete Medallons and were quickly in our stateroom, B632 aft. Our room was very pretty with new carpets and soothing colors. Our Steward left much to be desired. Lets leave it at that Special note: On Jan 6, prior to sailing, we were advised due to mechanical issues that Princess Cay would be cancelled and we would have 2 sea days enroute to St Thomas. On Jan 9 we were again advised due to 40mph gale force winds that the Port of Antiqua is cancelled. On Jan 13 the Port of St Lucia is cancelled due to 50mph gale force winds and we would be sailing 3 days back to Port Everglades. The end result was on this 10 day cruise, we would have 6 days at sea. We did encounter very rough seas and would proceed to Barbados. We were ok from Barbados to St Lucia. Enroute to ST Kitts we were advised due to 50mph gale force winds the port is cancelled and we would sail 3 days back to Port Everglades. On this 10 day cruise, 6 days were spent at sea. We tried to explain to the first time cruisers that this does happen but it was unusual for this time of year. The Crown. This was our 5th time on the ship. She was refurbed in 2016 but we did notice she was wearing a bit around the edges. Some carpet was showing wear in spots. A few carpet seams we coming apart. We did notice the overhead on our balcony was showing a lot of rust, something we had not seen before. We did have problems with our balcony door and a television that kept turning it's self off. We learned the meaning of the term "Reboot." Overall she is in excellent condition. There was a much to do if you wanted to participate. Bingo and many trivia games through out the day. In the beautiful Atriun there was always something going on both day and in the evening. The computer room was always busy. Movies Under the Stars was popular. Do a lot or do little. Thats the beauty of cruising. Service on board was 5 star +. Dining rooms, Horizion Court, The Main Desk including the entire Crew. Princess has the best service of any cruise line on which we have sailed. This being our cruise #46 we have visited these ports on many occasions. St Thomas for example, 21 times. We did not take any tours but visited the port side shops. The early days of cruising all Eastern Caribbean cruises visited Nassau, San Juan and St Thomas. Times certainly have changed ! Food is subjective. We would rate it good but not great. We only ate in the Da Vinci dining a few nights. One night service was very slow. The menu included soups, salads and a nice variety of Entrees The Horizon Court was a different story, breakfast was not the greatest. Easy over eggs always cold. Link sausage cold half the time. However there was always a good variety of food. Breakfast in the dining room was always good, nice selection and food was always hot. Lunch and dinner in the Horizon offered many choices, mostley good. There was always a different theme each night. I lived at "Slice" the best pizza at sea. The Salty Dog pub offered great hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and chicken sandwiches etc, This is just our opinion and we are sure other passengers saw it different. Service was A+ in the Horizon. Princess also had two Pub Lunches. Real British food. Princess entertainment has always been tremendous. They had a couple of great comedians, two excellent girl singers and of course the big Production Shows,Magic to Do and Blame it on the Boogie. We would like to mention A J Clark. He played the piano and sang. He packed the Princess Theater and the Explorer Lounge when he appeared. He also gave two lectures on the "American Songbook." Outstanding ! British Pub Night in then Explorer Lounge was great fun for all. Princess knows the entertainment business. We did a few kids around the ship but beyond that we are unable to comment. It is difficult to say "last" cruise but there comes a time when you must face reality. The reality of aging. We stand on deck this warm morning having faced this reality. Are we sad ? Heavens no ! My bride of 62 years and I have been blessed to sail on so many cruise ships. Psalms 107 says, "They that go down to sea on ships see God's works and the wonders of the deep" We have witnesses these wonders 46 times. How many people can say that ? For Embarkation we tried Princess" EZ Check." For $25 pp we filled out a form and turned it in at the Main Desk. The final night we received printed Boarding Passes along with special Luggage Tags. Our luggage was picked up outside our stateroom and the next time we saw it was at Detroit Metro This also allows you to disembark anytime you choose, first, last or in between. When we arrived at Ft Lauderdale Airport, we showed our boarding passes and Passports to TSA and went directly to the Security check point then to our boarding gate It has been our pleasure to share our cruise Read Less

My husband and I had a great time on our first Princess cruise. We will definitely said Princess again. * Overall - the Regal Princess is a great ship and really hit a sweet spot for us. It is big enough to have lots of dining choices and things to do without feeling too crowded or overwhelming. We are an active couple in our 60's who enjoy food and wine. Regal also hit the sweet spot for us of feeling a little more sophisticated and just a bit quieter (as opposed to Carnival, Norwegian, and Disney which we enjoyed but wanted a more adult experience). Some specifics: * Food and drink - we thought the food was almost always very good and sometimes excellent. We didn't do the buffet, so can't comment. We did anytime dining, mostly in Symphony. Excellent service and we were happy with our choices at dinner. We loved Alfredo's for lunch - good pizza and antipasti. Food on the pool deck was fine. We loved the sushi at Ocean. Good wine program, did two fun wine tastings. Service at bars was quick and friendly. Loved International Cafe - good coffee, convenient food any time, comfortable setting. Only tweaks we would like to see: breakfast menu in MDR needs refreshing and they need appropriate wine glasses in the MDR. If you care about wine, it will irritate you not to have a decent red wine glass.  * embarkation/debarkation: incredibly quick and smooth. The Medallion really makes a different. Smoothest of any cruise line we have ever tried. Kudos! * speaking of Medallion: we loved it, although they still have a couple of kinks to work out. They need to communicate better before the cruise begins that you have to download at least two apps to make it work. Also loved the idea of ordering drinks from the app, but doesn't work perfectly yet. * public spaces: one of the things we liked best about Regal as opposed to other lines we have tried is that there are a lot of great places, indoor and out, to sit around, read, drink, play cards, and hang out. The piazza works especially well - lively and always lots of people, but you could always find a place to do your own thing.  * entertainment: we really liked the mix they had of large and small venues. We went to a couple of shows and enjoyed them well enough - not Broadway, but well staged and enjoyable. We especially liked the smaller acts, especially the two violinist and the Beatlemaniacs dance party in the piazza. We enjoyed the movies under the stars option also. Service: excellent, friendly service everywhere including our cabin steward Jonathan. We didn't have a single bad experience. Read Less

There was a lot of gray hair on this cruise, including my own. The ship was prepared for the cruisers with the selection of music played throughout the ship, both live and canned, were age appropriate . There were two levels of adult only pool areas, one free and for a fee. The best part was the minimum announcements. Due to location, we have cruised mostly with Carnival, but no more. The Carnival CD's (and those on RCCL and NCL) make too many sales pitches under the guise of information. The food on Lido was very good including my favorites Indian and Mexican. The bread/rolls were also excellent, hard on the outside and soft in the middle. Entertainment included only one comedian, wished for more, and a Beatles Mania show. Both were great, Come early to get a seat. The stateroom, beyond the usual, had a 46" LCD TV, not only that, it had live TV shows and recorded TV shows and movies for free! After a hard day of eating and lounging in the sun, it was a pleasure to be a couch potato for a few hours. Service was excellent, keep up the great job Denchai, our cabin steward. Embarkation and disembarkation smooth and at least 40 minutes ahead of schedule. Read Less

We chose this cruise as we wanted to totally relax and as we had been to St. Thomas and St. Maarten before and LOVE both these ports, we knew we could just meander about, take our time and enjoy the sea days as well as ports. This cruise was to celebrate our retirement and was perfect in every way. Having been on numerous cruise lines in the past as well as 4 other Princess cruises, we found ourselves always saying "this is much better on Princess." An example … my husband purchased a drinks package - I do not drink much at all so did not feeling if I wanted an occasional drink, I could buy one. On other cruise lines, both of us would have to buy the drinks package, they wouldn't let one person only in the cabin buy one. For dining, we had any time dining as each day is different and we wanted the flexibility of different times / meeting different people. We never had to wait, no matter what time we chose. On other cruise lines, unless a reservation was made, there was definitely a wait! Medallion class ship - way ahead of the curve on other lines - as you approach your door, the medallion unlocks it, you tap to get on/off the ship, order food/drinks, etc - well done Princess. My favourite though was abilitiy from the app on our phones to find my husband - the best! The staff - very customer-service focused. Again on other ships at breakfast, you automatically got your own coffee/juice at the buffet which I always do. On Regal, as soon as you sat down, someone was there offering coffee and whatever type of juice you would like. Similarly, when finished, the plate was taken away. While they were very unobtrusive, they were there magically when you needed them. Dining room food was amazing. Again, on other cruise lines, to get the level of food we had in the dining room, we had to go to speciality restaurants. No need on Regal - the food was top class in the dining room with lobster, lamb, Beef Wellington, etc and many other quality choices normally only served in the specialties. Entertainment: - again ahead of the curve - not only with their production shows and props which were totally amazing and professional but they had the rights to "the voice" - which the called "Voice of the Ocean - with same stage set-up with chairs/judges, etc. - well done Princess! As always, we love "Movies under the Stars". Cruise director was great and a natural comedian - I always judge the entertainment by how good the cruise director is and this one did not disappoint! Lots of choices also in other eating venues - the International Café is one of our favourites with cappuchinos, lattes, etc. but I could also get my favourite soy milk if I asked for it. Breakfast sandwiches, fabulous voghurt parfaits, lunch salads, sandwiches, deserts that are out of this world and much more and all free. Some other cruise lines have converted their cafes into Starbucks that is not free - these things all add up. Alfredos is another free restaurant that makes fabulous home-made pizza, calzones, pasta, etc. - a real find and scrumptious. Outside food such as the grills, BBQ's ice cream are available constantly and great. We love the ports on this cruise. For us the idea was to relax with not too many shore excursions as our last cruise on a different line was chock full of excursions in Europe so the idea was to take it easy - mission accomplished. Princess Cays offered a free beach trip with wonderful catered BBQ lunch and everything you could want including the turquoise clear water of the Bahamas. A very relaxing day. For us, we love to wander around St. Thomas and St. Martin is our favourite island. The shops in both locales are great and for us, we love there are so many, especially jewellery as it is a great way to compare and get the best deals. St. Martin has the benefit of the dutch and French side including the myriad of shops in Phillipsburg and the great boardwalk next to the beach which is also stunning with a great backgroup of mountains reaching as far as the eye can see. We went to Maho beach area as we had stayed in a hotel there before and it was great to see it had totally recovered from the hurricane. Lovely mall at the port - Havensight which we adore walking around on our way back from town. The main thing about these ports - totally safe and amazing friendliness of the residents - make you feel valued. Sea days offered lots of options with line dancing, bingo, unusual competitions, etc - just wonderful. This cruise, I can honestly say, made me feel I do not want another cruise line, except Princess - the best cruise out of the 16 we have taken to date! We also had a VIP casino offer on this cruise and the casino spoiled us with many lovely gifts and amazing service. Read Less

This was an awesome way to spend our family vacation. One of our favorite things for our family was our 7:45 traditional dining with our amazing waiters Apichat “Api” and Dandreve “Dan”. They went above and beyond every night at dinner to make us have a wonderful time. They made our experience perfect! Our whole trip was wonderful! The shore excursion on St. Marteen that we did was the America’s Cup sailing race. That was an amazing excursion. We loved it and would highly recommend it. All of the crew on the Regal were very helpful, friendly and attentive to anything we needed. The port of call at Princess Cays was excellent. We were very impressed with how nice that port was and having food available on the island was awesome. We rented a Hobie sailboat and enjoyed being able to do that. Our ship was the only one there, which was really nice. It would not have been near as good if it had been crowded. We enjoyed all aspects of our cruise! Read Less

We had a four generation cruise on Sky Princess. We were a group of eight with the oldest 78yrs and the youngest 4yrs. The ship is so accessible it met the needs of the whole family. My mother used a wheel chair. We had two mini suites M220 and L219. The suites were roomy and had lots room for every ones suitcases and clothing. The ship was huge but easy enough to navigate. The hardest part was knowing which were the odd and even hallways. It would be nice to have a sign that you can see when you come out of the elevators. The food was great and the staff were excellent. We had early dining 5pm in the Estrella Dining room. Our waiters were Gerry and Axel, they were amazing. Gerry always made sure my grandson got his hotdog with no relish early so he could go to the kids club and we could enjoy our meal. Axel always remembered our drinks and made sure we had everything we needed. On our first night my grandson was falling asleep in his chair and the lady in charge, with the short blonde hair brought him an extra chair and a pillow so he could sleep. We were so impressed. The kids club was amazing, my four year old grandson had so much fun and made so many friends. The staff are so patient and seem to really enjoy their job. We loved the entertainment staff. We spent most nights in Princess Live because there was only a couple of shows in the theatre we wanted to see. The Rock Opera show was really good. We were there an hour early to get seats. The show fills up fast. We didn't watch the movies under the stars. Again there wasn't really anything we wanted to watch The pools were fun but loungers were hard to get. We had the best luck at the wake pool. It is nice to sit in the pool and the ocean through the window. We had a great time and found that there was something for everyone.. Read Less

Interested in the Panama Canal primarily but the whole itinerary was very appealing. We explored our departure city (Fort Lauderdale) before the cruise (1 night). Embarkation and disembarking was a breeze - so well organized, easy and quick. Ship has been refurbished so looked new. Cabins were typical sizes and there were good dining options on the ship. The entertainment was phenomenal both at the various bars and the theatre. The service at all times at all locations was impeccable. Our cabin was immaculate at all times. The bar service was excellent. The Medallion experience was outstanding. Every cruise line should offer this option on their ships. It made the boarding process so quick and monitoring ship activities or ordering food and drinks anywhere on the ship was so convenient. I would recommend this ship and itinerary. The itinerary included Fort Lauderdale, Panama Canal, Falmouth in Jamaica, Cartegena in Columbia and Limon in Costa Rica. It was a diverse itinerary that covered every interest. Read Less

This was an excellent cruise. The ship was very comfortable, had excellent food and service, and had wonderful entertainment. We stayed on the ship through the locks returning from Gatun Lake to the Caribbean Sea. Fascinating to watch how the lock opens and closes. We were able to get to the viewing area in the very front of the ship, above the bridge! On deck 15, go all the way forward and through the door at the end of the hallway to access this viewing area. Our ports were Falmouth, Jamaica, Cartagena, Columbia, Panama Canal transit, Limon, Costa Rica and George Town, Cayman Islands. We did stop in Cristobal, Panama to pick up passengers who had gone on excursions in Panama. We did an excellent tour with Dora the Explorer, www.cartagenatour.com, in Cartagena. Dora is very enthusiastic about her city, speaks excellent English, runs small group tours and only charges $70 cash for her 4 hour tour. We were able to go to La Popa Monastery on top of the hill which offered stunning views of the whole area. Large buses cannot negotiate the very twisty road to the monastery. After cruising Alaska on Princess Cruise with friends many years ago, we (myself&Hubby)decide to take another opportunity and cruise again in December 2019 over the new year to cross the Panama Canal and start the new year and decade celebrating life onboard Island Princess. And glad am I, we did!!! Our experience was a 5star journey from the beginning ‘til the end. I will start with the embarkation in FortLauderdale where everything was well organized and we didn’t have to wait a minute(even if the cruise was fully booked).A tip to my fellow travelers:if you can, get to the port early to avoid crowds and long lines. We felt like VIP’s since we board the ship in less than 5minutes.Once we got to our room, everything is history because 10days have been filled with happy moments and great memories we will remember and share for a lifetime. For new year eve, all guests were spoiled with fine dining experience and later on the captain come down to greet and wish everyone onboard a Happy new year! and the champagne was flowing like a river. The party moved from inside to the deck outside where we did the countdown into the new decade together.Happy new year!!! We chose the cruise for the locations and because we had sailed with Princess previously. We knew the cabins were comfortable and dining was excellent. There were plenty of shore excursions to choose from if that is what you are after, and plenty of activities to keep you busy on the ship. We chose to do some tours, but also enjoyed staying on the ship and relaxing by the pools. I LOVE that there is a laundry on the ship. So don’t have to pack enough clothing for the entire trip. The specialty restaurants provided delicious meals for a minimal extra charge. The dining rooms offered a variety of choices and the buffet was amazing. Will definitely travel with Princess again, in fact we have put a deposit down using the Future Cruise program offered by Princess. Would recommend Princes cruises to anyone interested in a cruise holiday. Than you Princess Cruises for our amazing Caribbean holiday. Read Less

The efficiency of how quickly we got off the ship to ports was impressive. The efficiency the last day on our cruise was outstanding. We got off the ship early and our luggage was neatly placed in the correct area. It was all just impressive. My boyfriend and I were very happy during our entire time of the cruise. The shows were phenomenal. The food was so great. The cleanliness of the kitchen was such a turn on to eat more. The service was over the top AMAZING. I’m new to cruising, so Princess was the 4th different line I’ve tried out, and it was by far my favorite I may be easy to please, but the medallion class is now my preferred way to cruise! The touchscreens near the elevators were easy to use and understand, I sincerely enjoyed being able to find my shipmates anywhere on the ship without having to keep cell phones on us. I was able to find out what activities were going on easily and make my selections. The shows were wonderful, Broadway quality, and we enjoyed four different shows during our cruise. Being able to order drinks poolside and have them delivered to us, rather than standing around waiting at the bar was also a great experience! We chose this cruise because we cruise Princess often, are Elite and wanted a New Years Eve Cruise. The ship is mostly a Clone of Regal Princess and Royal Princess just different color decor and a few minor other changes. Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth and quick in Ft. Lauderdale. There is some construction around Terminal 2 which was a tad bit confusing. The ship is beautiful and I thought it was well done. One big difference was there is no library on board. My husband likes to get a book from the passengers left overs where they leave books for new passengers and missed not having it. A friend of ours always waits to get on board to get a book and she was also disappointed. All the food in every venue was excellent. Presentation was great, temperature of food was perfect, quality and quantity were also perfect. Some new desserts in the main dining room. We always eat at least one night in the crown grill and it did not disappoint. For frequent cruisers princess has changed the desserts in the crown grill and it was nice to get something different. We got very lucky that the band STATIC was on this cruise. We have sailed 3 Princess cruises with them and they are the best band on the high seas. They get the passengers involved in every session and before you know it you are having a GREAT time inspire of yourself. Being a New Years Eve cruise Princess did a great job of having lots to do. We went to the pool area and watched New Years come in on several of the Princess fleet sailing in places around the world via the big screen tv. Also STATIC was the entertainment and I would not have wanted to bring the New Year in any other way. We had a comedian Andrew was his first name can’t remember his last but he was very poor. Not many people laughed. A very nice Trio sang in the Piazza along with lots of fun stuff to do. They had Cha Cha and Rumba lessons. Easy to understand and learn the steps. Service was great and all staff members seemed truly happy to help. Captain Tuvo was an absolute breath of fresh air. His daily announcements were entertaining. He starts out saying Yoo Hoo and ends with bye bye. It is just fun, different and cute. Cabins were same as Regal and Royal. We had a balcony and there was plenty of room. We usually get a mini suite but they sold out rather quickly. I really wish there was a way to control the “chair hogs”. One lady was occupying 6 chairs by the pool all by herself. 2 of the chairs were never occupied by anyone but she had them blocked. So rude. We sat in our chairs for several hours and watched several chairs not be touched by anyone but had towels and belongings sitting there so no one else could use the chair. There has to be a way to stop that. I wish the cruise lines would come up with a solution. I would highly recommend Princess. Read Less

I have a close group of friends that sail every year for New Years Eve. It's the best way to let the past go and the let the new year wash over you. This year we decided on taking a Princess Cruise on the fairly new Sky Princess. In all honesty it was my first Princess Cruise ( which I had to double check as I cruise multiple times every year but with no real brand preference). Sure enough, never had I sailed Princess. As new ships go , the ship was really pretty and functional and we just loved it. I did feel the balcony cabins were a tad small but frankly with the gang I was onboard with, we wouldn't be in the cabin much. What makes a good cruise great though is the little things. I don't think the crew even know the word "no". It was always, "it's my pleasure". Now we are not a demanding group, kind of go with the flow folks, but time and time again we witness guest interactions that were nothing short of spectacular. guests wold be so worked up about nothing like, "I can't find bagels on this ship" when they were standing in front of them and the staff would treat these folks with tenderness and attention. It was something to behold. Let's not forget Captain, "bye-bye" as he's affectionately called. He is just a hoot and could give lessons on how to be a personable captain. We looked forward to all his announcements. Always loved when he took FULL credit for the good weather. Since we were on for New Year's Eve we knew that there would be a party, but couldn't have imagined how well orchestrated it would be. Major Kudos goes to Cruise Director Alexander (who was the best Cruise Director I've ever had) and the entire staff, they threw one heck of a party that lasted well into the early AM. I just can't say enough about the programming on board relative to activities, I wanted to cut myself into 4 people, so I could do everything that was in the Patter ( Princess daily events sheet). It was loaded from sun up to sun down with non stop activities for every taste. Food- Was just amazing. The main dining room on anytime dining was a bit tricky and we sort of wished we had been able to get fixed seating. Sometimes we had to wait 30-45 mins for a table on anytime dining but they have pagers so you can go to the bar and have a drink or hang out in the Piazza the ships gorgeous atrium and listen to the band. The food itself was really, REALLY good. We ate at every specialty restaurant and every single one was spectacular. Service at each was TOP NOTCH! So good that we went back twice to the Italian restaurant. Princess has a winner with this newest ship. The integration of the medallion is nothing short of spectacular and we know it will only get better as time goes on. Wifi was incredibly fast and while it did drop out a few times- nothing major. Kudos Princess, you knocked it out of the park! Read Less

Hubs and I travelled with two other couples, who are great friends of ours. Five of us are mid-60’s, the 6th mid-70’s, all very healthy and active. The one couple is elite status, the second is platinum (almost elite), and we are merely gold! Sure do wish Princess would recognize cruises on Carnival toward status! But, oh, well! Because we were with our elite friends, embarkation was simple, as we were able to wait in the special lounge with them. Disembarkation equally simple, as hubs and I have global entry cards. (Highly recommend that if you travel out of the country!) The Crown Princess is smaller than the Royal, which we were on last year, but still lovely. The only thing I liked less was the walking track being the Promenade deck, vs the dedicated walking track on the Royal, as we like to take daily walks. The Princess crews seem always to be helpful and friendly, and they always make it a pleasant journey. I’m always amazed, though, at fellow travelers who are crabby, no matter what happens! Getting on and off an elevator, there’s often someone with a sour expression on their face. I mean, you’re on a freakin cruise in the Caribbean! How do you act when you really are faced with adversity? Lol! But I digress! The ship is beautiful, the staff wonderful, the ports delightful, the weather was perfect (ok, so that was good timing and luck), the food wonderful, and it was fabulous to get out of winter weather for ten days! Our very favorite stop was an excursion on Dominica, purchased through Princess, called “Cooking Caribbean,” in which we were driven in a van up to the top of a hill (breathtaking scenery) to the home of island residents. Daria (pronounced Dear-iya) taught 20 of us how to make her signature dishes, and we had samples of her flavored rum, then we all sat down to this delightful meal. She is a wonderful person, and we fell in love with her! We would take another cruise just to take her cooking class again! The rest of our cruise was fabulous, but this was really special! Also, on one of our sea days, we splurged for The Sanctuary, and it was just so peaceful and worth it. $40 pp, for the day. Very quiet and peaceful! This was our 5th cruise overall, and third on Princess. We’re sticking with Princess. Read Less

We sailed the December 22, 2019 to Jan 5, 2020 Caribbean Connoisseur cruise. I have always wanted to sail on the Pacific Princess since I was a little girl watching the Love Boat. Although it isn't the same boat as the show, Pacific is a beauty! We enjoyed a smaller ship. It was easy to get around and find places to read, have a nice conversation and just relax. We liked that we could mingle with other guests and really get to know people. It was two weeks of Heaven! The food was great, the service was fantastic and the itinerary was out of this world!! I would highly recommend sailing on a smaller ship. Loved it!! It was definitely an older crowd which was not an issue for us at all. We really liked a more personal cruise and made some lovely new friends of all ages. We would have liked some more up to date music and offer activities for those of us in our 30's and 40's. We heard lots of music from the 50's and 60's which wasn't terrible but some more variety would have been nice. Check in was easy and friendly. We got right to our cabin but we did have to bring up our own luggage which was odd but we at least had it right away. I guess this isn't the norm but we were one of the last few to board and it was only around 1:00-1:30pm. Our cabin was clean and adequate. The closet was small for a two week cruise but we managed and utilized the desk drawers and cabinet next to the closet. The balcony was a good size for the two of us. The bathroom is typical...small but does the job. The hair dryer is attached to the wall above the toilet. A little strange but it worked fine. The buffet area was easy to navigate and had lots of choices most days but it was very hot in there most of the time. Sit on the side where the coffee bar is, it is a little bit cooler on that side. The staff there was very friendly. There were many choices for breakfast but it seemed to be nearly the same each morning. Sit down breakfast is available in the main dining room on non port days or when the ship pulls into port later in the morning/early afternoon. Lunch in the buffet had lots of choices from hot items like fish, chicken wings, various salads (warm and cold), sandwiches, soups, rice dishes, vegetarian choices, desserts including ice cream and lots of other items. We had late seating in the main Dining Room. Food was good and service was great! We really enjoyed our table mates as well. We had lots of fun every night. The ship was recently dry docked. I thought the decor was tasteful and elegant. The grand staircase is lovely. The ship seemed to be in good shape and all areas were clean. The best part of a small ship is no crowded areas, very few lines anywhere (if any at all), places to sit around the pool as well as other common areas. The library was well stocked as well as the card room. There were always seats for the movies and shows in the Cabaret Lounge. The Pacific Lounge was my favorite as it had great views from just about everywhere and there were plenty of places to stay cool and sit and read on a hot port day or play trivia with new friends. If you're a gambler, be advised the casino is very small but again, it wasn't usually very crowded and the bar was a generous size. There is a piano entertainment area just around the corner so you can listen to music and play 3 card poker or the slots! They also have bingo in this area on certain days. We started off as Ruby and made it to Platinum by the end of the cruise so we did do our own laundry to cut down on what we packed. There is a self serve laundry on deck 7 port side. It was right down the hall from our cabin, 7042. It takes tokens and as of our sailing, you have to get tokens from the front desk. Bring your own laundry detergent. I bring pods and some dryer sheets to cut down on costs. It's $3.00 each for a wash and dry and $1.50 for a box of detergent. We hit some rough seas on the first two sea days and it was a challenge for some. Barf bags were placed all over the ship and some passengers were not happy. It is what it is just make sure you prepare. I use scopolomine patches and have little to no issues. Many used Bonine or Dramamine and were fine. Just know this is an older smaller ship and you will feel some movement more so than on larger, newer ships. Overall we liked this cruise and got to go to many destinations we hadn't been to before. I would highly recommend the Pacific Princess if you want to try a smaller ship without the bells and whistles of the oversize mega ships. No lines, no crowds, no screaming children running wild (nothing against kids at all), no chair hogs, no crowded pool or hot tubs etc. We love Princess and we would definitely sail on Pacific Princess again if we had the chance to. Having an opportunity to experience the Atlantic and Caribbean islands during Christmas and New Year 2020 on a smaller cruise ship is why we choose the Pacific Princess. This allowed us to have 2 sea days to get acquainted with the ship and new friends while heading to St. John, USVI where we snorkeled in Trunk Bay. Our itinerary took us to the lovely islands of Guadeloupe, St. Kitts, Martinique, Barbados, Antigua. The smaller ship allowed us to visit the small island of Mayreau, The Grenadines with its beautiful coconut palm lined beaches and lovely crystal clear waters. Our furthest island south was Tobago. Our final island paradise was Virgin Gorda, BVI with its dazzling views from Gorda Peak National Park of Eustatia, Prickly Pear, Necker Island and Mosquito Islands with their many turquoise waters and numerous beaches. The Pacific Princess entertainment was the best that we have ever experienced on our many cruises. Joe Thomas provided us with his stunning piano playing of memorable songs of the 50s, 60s and 70s. AJ Clarke is a composer, pianist, singer and entertainer. He featured very unique renditions of songs at random requested by the audience and self arrange the songs in one continuous song. Lowell Fox provided numerous lectures accompanied by old TV video clips of the era of early live comical television such as Sid Ceasar, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope and George Burns. If you are looking for a small and quality cruise ship with world class amenities I recommend booking a cruise in the Pacific Princess. Read Less

Great time with family. Better than staying at home. If you have special abilities members of your family this is the place to go (with the exception of Shore Excursions helpfulness). The ship is great and assessable. Staff is wonderful and willing to help when needed. Always felt very comfortable at letting them just go about their day without us having to worry about them. From the entertainment staff to the the room Stewart, to the staff cleaning all were helpful (except shore excursion). You will be very pleased with the experience onboard. The medallion was such a great asset. You were able to locate and not worry about your party. Thanks again for making this a memorable event. And yes, we did book another cruise. Our special needs group also booked a cruise and they are planning on going alone, and I am sure they will be very pleased with the trip. Read Less

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, if you (like me) suffer from clean OCD this ship is clean! Embarkation was fastest I've ever experienced, like 15 mins maybe. We did some of the sit down dining but a lot of the buffet, the variety was outstanding. They has newer movies on demand in the cabin which we didn't expect but really enjoyed. All the activities and shows were perfect, we played trivia, saw unbelievably good shows, singers, dancers, a rock concert and even a really good comedian. Always something to do for anyone. It was Christmas week while we were on-board, we had never sailed for the holidays, the ship was all decorated and holiday music was playing, even Santa was on-board, its was really nice! Read Less

This was my family's first cruise experience. My wife did the research and heard great reviews about the Princess Ships. We picked Regal to go to the virgin Islands for a 7 day Cruise. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff were. They do absolutely anything they can to make sure you are taken care of. From the Gentleman who took care of our room to the wait staff I met every morning at International Cafe for coffee and Doughnuts. Plenty of food selections and plenty of options. Buffet was amazing. Dining rooms were very professional. If you want any type of food at just about any time you can get it. Loved the use of the medallion which worked perfectly. Also the App to communicate with other ship mates and track where your friends are is a must. Used it way more than I thought I would. The Spa and Enclave was amazing as well. A HUGE hot tub in the spa with a rain shower in the middle. 2 Steam rooms infused with aroma therapy. Showers that cool you off after. Great place to reset and relax. I can't say enough about how nice this cruise was. In the 7 days of this cruise I would say I was absolutely spoiled. No complaints. Great experience on this ship. Read Less

we has a party of 8 . All family members and it was a cruise to remember. Staff was 5 star . Restaurants were AMAZING. the traditional dining was delicious and felt like we were fine dining everynight. The shows were broadway worthy and the entertainment in the bars were unlike i have ever seen. Michelle Joly sounded like Adele she was truly amazing. Ocean Dreams was a band from Argentina that were Great. The drummer is so talented. Everything was decorated to the highest degree. We enjoyed this trip very much and i recommend the Regal ship to anyone that wants a high quality cruise with something to offer for everyone young and old. The fitness center was big and clean with treadmills always available and great classes to take. Our Cruise Director Dan Falconer was a delight. He should have his own late night talk show. He is so funny . The ship was spotless and the customer service was top notch. The employees go above and beyond and i applaud all the crew members for their hard work and dedication to making our experience unforgettable. Read Less
