Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Island Princess

My girlfriend wanted us to go on this cruise with them. I figured it would be a lay back cruise because, face it, young people don’t go to Panama for a grand time. There were a LOT of elderly people on this cruise and only 25 kids out of 1900. The food was so so. The excursions we chose were pretty relaxing, except for the zipline excursion. That one was a disaster with many injuries, but with the ...

This was an adult only trip with me and my boyfriend We’ve always traveled on mega ships with kids and we wanted to try this ship out but knew that this was not something for the kids as they’re used to mega RCCL ships with lost of entertainment. The embarkation was super fast and smooth, our room was even ready when coming onboard! (That’s a nice surprise becaus RCCL makes you wait for the ...

Caribbean Princess is a lovely and clean ship. Embarkation went quickly and smoothly with the new medallions. We enjoyed the shore excursions, a private beach in Roatan and Mayan Ruins in Belize City. The staff was pleasant. Our room steward and waiters in the dining room were very friendly and did a nice job. Our 2 children loved the kids club and the nightly shows in the princess theatre. ...

Medallion embarkation started the cruise off strong. But Medallions didn't exactly work as advertised. Had to download 4 apps to get full use and some in our party couldn't download and/or us all of them so we were limited in functionality. Can't add shipmates to your medallion if they are minors not in your cabin (privacy issues) yet all the cabins list every occupant even if they are ...

We just returned from a 7 night cruise on the Carribean Princess. It was just OK. Maybe we are spoiled because our last cruise was on the Regal Princess which was amazing. Pros -Medallion Class is awesome. I could always find my travel companions. -Concierge website was great to check account balances and events. -OceanCompass and OceanNow are great. -Embarkation and ...

We choose the Caribbean Princess based on recommendations from some friend who are big time cruisers. This was our first cruise so we really had no idea what to expect. We set off for a two week East/West Caribbean cruise to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Here are a few things that we'd like to share. The good- The Caribbean is absolutly beautiful! The ship was beautiful and dang big. ...

We booked this strictly for the Iteneriary. It was a b2b and we would not book b/b again with Fort Lauderdale. Ship was great, service was stellar, food was very good. Enjoyed Planks and Seafood the best. Coffee was HORRIBLE at best ...unless you had coffee package and went to Int. cafe for espresso or speciality coffee's. It is all syrup!! So disapointing to finish off an elegant meal in ...

Poorly managed ship, great itinerary

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Crown Princess

This cruise combined a 15 day transatlantic with a 12 day around the British Isles cruise. We are not brand loyal cruisers (15 cruises on 5 lines) selecting the cruises by the itinerary. This particularly appealed to us because of stops in the Azores and Lisbon on the transatlantic while ticking off all our desires on the round the British Isles leg. It was our first time on Princess. The ...

5th princess cruise and like many, probably our last. Pro: good enrichment, nice crew. Cons: Princess is showing its age - from all the old ploys (endless pictures, shopping galore, cheaper and cheaper food and toiletries, etc) to the endless “clubs’. Ice cream, cokes, coffee, water, wine. There’s the absurd charge for internet (99% profit - costs the same for 300 folks as it does for ...

Overall a good cruise. When I do it again it will end in Fort Lauderdale instead of starting there. The entertainment was fantastic. Food and service were excellent. Port selection was okay. The shore excursions were bad. We were rushed through most excursions with no time to see or enjoy anything. You would stand outside of buildings that would have been fun to explore only to stand outside and ...
