The staff at dining room botecceli dining was wonderful, however I could not say the same for the staff on Divi Divi dining room, it was Christmas Day and we had an early setting and a private table, we were seated and given menus and then we waited and waited and waited, meanwhile more diners came in and got waited on before us, not acceptable. Overall this was a good cruise, the ship though needing some attention is in good shape, we had no major complaints about the food which in general was good. For her age, Island Princess is in great shape. She was spotless and well maintained all through she is starting to show her age. I decided to do this 14 day cruise with my family from Fort Lauderdale stopping at 8 ports. Ship was nice, Onboarding was great. Room service was ok. The restaurant dining was quite good. The Ruby Princess was built in 2008, refurbed in 2018 and surely must be due for another upgrade. It's clean but terribly drab and grossly underwhelming.
