Great ship, limited allergen menu

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I’ve sailed this vessel a few times and always been happy. I’m allergic to gluten, Celiac disease, and until this cruise they always accomadted well. The most recent selection of gluten free items was quite limited and staff was poorly trained in dealing with food allergies. I’m going again in May and hope to see some improvement. A great ship other than this issue. I did notice that the pool was ...

Relaxing cruise in the Eastern Caribbean

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Sky Princess

We wanted to go to the Caribbean and I found a pretty good price on an obstructed balcony on Sky Princess leaving Fort Lauderdale on Nov 25th.  Never been on Princess before; we've done Royal, Carnival, Holland, Norwegian.  We wanted to relax but also see something we hadn't before (San Juan).  We booked flights and a hotel to stay the day before the cruise.    There were 7 ships in port ...

Turkey Day Holiday on the Ruby Princess

Much needed break for the holiday. Embarkation at Port Everglades was pretty smooth-20 minutes from Arrival to on the ship. The Ruby had just been fixed up in dry dock. She looks good for a 2008 Grand girl. It was really good to be back at sea. We used the Princess Plus package which was a nice option for trying drinks, I normally wouldn't have ordered. The package includes specialty ...

Fantastic Staff on board the Ruby Princess

We had sailed on the Ruby the previous October so we were in a position to make some comparisons on changes Princess have made. First thing to say are that the staff are incredible. Everyone greets you with a beaming smile and treats you as if you are their only customer. Special mention to the two bartenders in Explorer lounge Val and Christian, Derek and the Phillipino trio in Vines, and ...

Good cruise with some exceptions

We booked this cruise to pick up a couple of ports we had not previously visited, including Norfolk, Virginia, and Newport, Rhode Island. The cruise was smooth, although there was a slight vibration in some parts of the ship, including in our cabin. Not enough of a vibration to bother us. Issues: 1. The ship was late in arriving at Ft. Lauderdale (high winds in the DR, the previous ...

Great Itinerary- a few hiccups

First cruise on Princess, normally cruise on Norwegian. Princess had good food (steak and lobster one night), serve smaller portions so you can try more things and the comedians on board were really good. Live shows tended to be geared to an older crowd. Ship itself was good and easy to navigate except for which way to go below deck (Norwegian has fish on the carpet swimming towards the front). ...

Was looking for a easy Caribbean get away that we could use casino offers on and landed on The Caribbean princess . We had sailed on the sky princess 5 months ago & loved it,.. this is not the sky. She's older but pretty well maintained. Our embarkation was one of the fastest and smoothest we've ever had ..trying to find the parking garage was a different story.. but just read the signs ...

My wife and I are experienced cruisers with more than 15 cruises with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. I wanted to try a Premium cruise line and Costco had a good deal on this cruise which is a 14 day East/West Caribbean, so we went for it despite the mixed reviews. We are still on the ship starting the second week but I wanted to share my impressions. We booked everything through ...
