Old ship and it smells.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Island Princess

It was a 15 days cruise to some places we'd never been. We traveled with another couple and we all decided this would be a nice cruise. We will never take the Island Princess again, it is quite old, has added too many rooms for the facilities (gym, all dining rooms, loungers, pool), everything is overwhelmed by the number of guests. I've never been on a ship that had an old cabbage (or worse) ...

Just back from a week long Western Caribbean cruise with the Regal Princess. Had a great week because of the company, there were six of us all there for Spring Break from California. Great times and memories with the girls, but some not so happy thoughts about the ship. Embarkation was delayed due to Coast Guard inspection and we had been given notification of that. The employees both at the ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Coral Princess

The Panama canal was on our bucket list and there are not a lot of cruise lines that offer this cruise. The canal is awesome and such a marvel to see and go through, and the ship was nice, but nothing special. We were very disappointed that during our early morning hours (7am) venture through the canal we were standing at the back of the ship in the Sanctuary to take pictures of the canal and even ...

Disappointing but good points

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Royal Princess

I chose this cruise for the ports visited and the slightly longer length than my usual week. As a solo traveller who will not cruise without the luxury of a balcony it is an expensive holiday due to the 100% surcharge for single occupancy. However , that is my choice. I loved the fact that this cruise departed on a Tuesday - no crowds at the port for embarkation and this aso made a ...

Staff experience varied widely - some superstars serve on this ship

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Getting on and off of the ship was easy with little delay or confusion. Itinerary was the prime motivator along with a relatively recent renovation. Renovation did not mean that the storage drawer tracks were in good working order however. The wear and tear was evident though overall service, Princess Entertainment, the International Cafe (food and service) and the dining room service were ...

I chose the cruise because we wanted to go to Trinidad. It was pretty much normal/average for a cruise. Didn't see anything REAL special. It was short on entertainment in the evenings. Only 3 production shows in 14 days - the other nights it was karaoke, comedians, etc. Not bad, just not above average. Their production numbers were AWESOME, they just needed more of them. They also ...

Boring Cruise

Activities are very dull. Many did not even happen. Very limited sport activities. This is a cruise for people content with doing nothing for a week. Example of an activity= virtual shooting gallery- Shoot a rifle at a video screen several times, up to 5 passengers one at a time= extremely dull and can have more fun at a video arcade for a quarter! OR A make-up seminar where they attempt to ...

Ports of call. Included places we had not been. Overall length of stays in some of these ports was inadequate. We may be somewhat biased, but we consider the ports of call our destinations as opposed to the ship as a destination. Our trip was better than our last Princess cruise which had over 5000 passengers, with crowding, long lines and waits for everything including elevators. This ship had ...

We always wanted to try a 14 day cruise as well as see the Caribbean. The ship was clean and well appointed. Vines was a favorite meeting place for our group. The Tapas and Sushi were fresh and the Wine choices were spectacular. The service staff were awesome and always friendly and smiling. They could not have done any better to make our trip special. The food on the ship was mediocre at best. We ...
