My husband, myself and two boys (12 and 17) were on our first New Year's Cruise. It has been 3 years since we sailed with Princess and right from the first day we were happy to be back. The service was so friendly, attentive and accomodating and it really added to our cruise vacation experience. We left out of Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 29 after spending a few days in the area with family and friends. ...
Just got back yesterday from a relaxing trip aboard the Grand Princess. The ship: beautiful interior, well- appointed and exceptionally clean. We have been on some bigger ships with slightly better amenities that come on the newer mega ships, but this ship is very nice.
Service: Overall service was excellent. My only complaint was bar service was very slow during peak times. They named to ...
To start I want to state we enjoyed this vacation on the Ruby Princess and the points listed below although frustrating at times did not affect our overall enjoyment of this sailing.
Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was fairly smooth in typical princess fashion. Only issue worth noting is once though security some of the queue line dividers were not clearly lined up so some people were confused ...
For the past several years, we've opted to cruise for New Year's. Usually it's been a 3 to 4 night cruise, this time we opted for 7 days. Although it was a great getaway, I have a few comments to share if you plan to go next year to be aware of.
Let me start by saying, I have 2 sons, so it's not that I don't like kids, I just don't like spoiled rotten kids. I like Princess because it's usually ...
This was our 6th Christmas cruise and 5th on the Emerald. We arrived in Port Everglades around noon and were on-board at 12:30 (we have priority Elite boarding). No issues there.
We had an obstructed view cabin on the Emerald (8) deck. Our cabin steward did a fine job keeping our cabin clean. We did not have any special requests this time.
We cruise at this time of year mainly to relax, read, ...
This was our 6th cruise, 4th on Princess. We arrived the day before the cruise and stayed at the Rodeway Inn primarily because of its free shuttle service from the airport and to the cruise port. This was a decent enough place for a reasonable cost for one night. Embarkation was slow but that was partly because we arrived shortly after 11:00 and had a lengthy wait. At least there were chairs ...
My wife and I have sailed with Princess numerous times and this was a last minute trip, planned in early December 2012.....Wish we had looked up the airfare from ORD TO FLL beforehand booking the cruise (duh momemnt...) ALWAYS look up the airfare BEFORE you book the cruise.....I should know that by now..
anyhow booked the cruise, got assigned Rivera Deck Cabin R224....very nice, deck 14, up on ...
Had a wonderful Christmas holiday with the family on board the GP. Food was fantastic, MDR, HC, and Crown Grill. We did anytime dining and never waited more than 3 minutes for a table even though there was usually 7 of us, and this cruise was at full capacity.
The shows were all very entertaining, and considering our group ranged from 13-67 years old, that is really saying something! We had a ...
Four of us from Maryland, left from the Port on Sat. Dec. 1, Princess ship was in a temporary dock/terminal #29, what a mess with traffic. I returned rental car to Hyatt, took a taxi back to ship, it took from 12:30 to 2:30 to board with traffic and lines.
Cabin location (E711)in the back of ship, we had a great cabin steward Aries, he had 16 cabins to take care of. I dont think I would book ...
Princess would do well to compare their suite services to Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Princess doesn't offer dedicated butler or concierge services.
You would think Princess would provide at least a dedicated butler if not both a butler and a concierge when staying in their largest and finest suite.
The room steward on the Princess Caribbean does it all and he doesn't have time to provide the ...
