Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Regal Princess

We sailed on the Regal Princess for the first time last March, and loved her! So majestic and elegant, with such marvelous fare and service! When the opportunity came along to take adult family along on a cruise this winter, the Regal was an obvious choice. And she did NOT disappoint! The Medallion program is now almost completely operational, and it was a pleasure. Embarkation was a ...

First Time Cruisers and Loved It!

With this being our first cruise we really had no idea what to expect. We did a bit of research and for some reason (luckily) we chose the Princess Cruise Line and the Regal Princess as our first cruise. We spoke to a LOT of people during the cruise about their cruising experiences to try to determine if we had made the right choice. After listening to countless stories about other cruise lines I ...

Wanted to try a different cruise line and I like the Itinerary. The selection in the Buffett was great. The food in general was great. The production shows were also good. What I was disappointed in ( in comparison to other cruises) was lack of comedians/comedy show. Unless you were into dance lessons, the cruise director was pretty much non existence....while I had a good time it ...

We wanted to visit St Thomas again and see Jamaica for the first time. We had a great time. Regal Princess is very clean. Our Cabin was clean and well furnished. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The food was great. We used Formal Dining Room for supper and the buffet in the Horizon for the other meals. Great variety of foods to choose from. Room Attendant, dining room Attendants and the ...

Older ship in pretty good shape. Best feature, 7 ft pool. Incredibly attentive, polite, and social, passenger contact crew (waiters, cabin stewards, etc.). Incredible variety of well prepared food choices in buffet. Main dining room did not offer much more than buffet. Great burger and Stromboli bar on pool deck. Limited, ordinary, not so special, specialty restaurants. Free and prompt room ...

We have cruised the Regal prior and choose the ship and itinerary to exit the cold weather in Ohio and enjoy the Fun and Sun of the Caribbean. The Entertainment and Staff are very enjoyable. We switched several years ago from Holland America because we were not happy with the changes made plus the Entertainment and choices are much better on Princess. This was our first opportunity to experience ...

We chose this cruise to be with friends who were going. The service was pretty good. The room steward as well as wait staff was friendly, considerate and outgoing, with only a very few poor exceptions. Nothing really wowed us though. The stateroom was nice, the bed comfortable, the closet huge, but the bathroom was small and the shower was so miniscule, if you dropped your razor you had to step of ...

Wanted to get away! Found the ship very disappointing with everything, our cabin and the steward that was assigned to our room. The Buffett were disappointing, had frozen little shrimp INSTEAD of REAL shrimp! At the pool I had a problem with moving a chair, the attendants wouldn’t help me. 730 one morning there was construction going on for an hour. The front desk was called and I was told it ...

Eastern Caribbean Reprise on Caribbean Princess This Time

February in the South has been a chilly one this year. I am glad I booked this late Feb trip to my favorite part of the Caribbean, Eastern. It was just the right time to get a sunny warm up while winter lingers in South Carolina. St. Maarten and St. Thomas are great ports. 7 Day Eastern Caribbean on Caribbean Princess. Older ship, dry docked in 2017 for upgrades and the first ship in the ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary at a reasonable price. There were 3 stops and 3 full sea days. We were originally planning on leaving from a more northern port, but decided that we would have a better chance of good weather from beginning to end, leaving out of Fort Lauderdale. That proved to be the case. Fort Lauderdale had great weather from the time we arrived at the ship. ...
