Transatlantic to Northern Europe

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Emerald Princess

When we arrived at Ft. Lauderdale, we used the Princess transfer to the ship which makes life so easy. Once we lined up for the bus, we never worried about our luggage it showed up at our room door and it did show up in a very timely manner. When we arrived at the dock, we had to stand outside for almost an hour. I am not sure why it was so slow a process to enter the terminal unless it was ...

Well we were on a cruise we were really looking forward to. We were aware of the of flight times, but the cruise was one we really looked forward to. We arrived at Fort Lauderdale terminal at approximately 11.30 a.m. Checking in was a breeze, until we took a seat with many hundreds of passengers to go on board. We were given numbers and as we waited a Princess representative appeared and started ...

First, a little background information about us. My husband and I are both young professionals, no children, who have cruised before, and are well traveled in North America/Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We have cruised previously with Holland America and Royal Caribbean. We enjoy cruising because we like the no-hassle, no-stress of having everything (meals, lodging, etc.) taken ...

Just off the Ruby Princess. Here is what I can share with you. My 6th cruise, but first with Princess. We are casual people and have been mostly on Carnival because of that but we wanted to try and avoid kids on this trip. We over-corrected, this was definitely an older crowd. We are not overly social or heavy partiers so it didn't really bother us, though. But we did the Anytime dining and ...

Its the little things that count

We have been long time cruisers with Princess and other Cruise lines. Our trip on the Ruby Princess just last week was where we found the little things that we had experienced with Princess in the past were now missing or were seen as extras. Embarkation was controlled chaos, as the PA system was garbled and the noise level so high so the staff had to resort to yelling out instructions as ...

Although my husband and I have cruised twice before, this was our first cruise without the kids. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary - more on that later. Embarkation - We were in a mini-suite, so no priority boarding. But we ignored Princess's recommendation to arrive late and arrived early instead, around 10 AM. We were able to walk right in and through security quickly. We waited in ...

We took advantage of previous cruiser discount promotion and booked in January for March 3 departure to Eastern Caribbean. Previous Alaska cruise on Princess which we enjoyed very much. Previous trip to Caribbean, but not in many years so interested to relax and revisit. We booked with room guarantee and were happy with the nice upgrade to Riviera deck and the cabin location, mid-ship. Never ...

Just back from (10) night cruise on the Coral Princess which included a partial transit of the Panama Canal. This was our 11th cruise (3rd on Princess ships)Prior to booking, I read lots of Cruise Critic Member reviews of this ship and I have to wonder if I was on the same Coral Princes ship as some of the other reviewers. We were more than pleased with the condition of the ship and the service ...

The night before our cruise our cruise critic roll call enjoyed a great meet and greet dinner at Bimini Boatyard. It was a wonderful way to start the week! After dinner we walked down to Total Wine and Publix to load up on wine and munchies (yes I needed chips for the drunken munchies -- and I must say I'm thankful I had them after days of sipping rum by the pool!). Embarkation -- Arrived at ...

Background: My husband and I have been married for 15 years, have no kids, and are 41. This is our 7th cruise, 2nd on Princess. We have been on 5 with RCCL and chose Princess for the itinerary since we had not been to Grand Turk yet. We were cruising with a total of 5 couples (no children). My in-laws, SIL and her husband, husband's uncle and his girlfriend, and the in-laws best friends. Age ...
