Not Too Good on Crown Princess Christmas Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Crown Princess

User Avatar

Crown Princess is a beautiful ship, but not beautifully designed, it is all very bland in colors and finishes. One area looks like every other area. Nothing unique or memorable. Cold, cold, cold ship.... cold in your state room, cold in the restaurant, cold in the common areas of the ship. Even with the 2 room thermostat’s set on high heat, the room remained extremely cold. It is a miserable ...

Time for dry dock

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Crown Princess

The Crown Princess needs to be in dry dock for updating and renovations, along with their entertainment staff of singers and dancers. The whole ship, from outside rust to deteriorating furniture to elevators that had peeling paint on doors to non working balcony doors in staterooms - You name it, it needs repaired or replaced. The worse part was the lack of effort to correct problems. Our ...

Ship in desperate need of refurb! ‘Tired’ an understatement.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Island Princess

Positives: excellent service, delicious food in MDR, entertainment good. Staff were friendly and courteous for the most part and we enjoyed chatting with them. Negatives: ship in dire need of reburbishments. Common areas extremely dated and worn. Cabins tired, but more surprisingly dirty due to cloth on headboard as an example being stained. Seating in public areas also looks dirty due to being ...

Ship Issues + More Medallion + Less Staff = A Seriously Disappointing Experience

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Regal Princess

You'd think it would be difficult to be pissed off after spending a week somewhere as gorgeous as the Caribbean. But congratulations, Regal Princess - you've succeeded. I'll start with a little background: This was the FOURTH cruise I've taken with Princess just this year alone - and my second on the Regal. I'm not the type to complain about every little issue on a cruise - I'm generally pretty ...

Beware of complimentary room upgrades

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Great itinerary. However if you receive a complimentary room upgrade please do yourself a favour and do research on where exactly they want to put you. We had our vacation ruined by loud chair shuffling, carts slamming and doors opening all night long every night. Other than that, the cruise was good, the food and the service were top notch. The itinerary was great too however Grand ...

First, let me start by saying that my wife and I have more than 15 cruises with Princess under our belts. Royal is simply the biggest of the ships we have sailed on with Princess. While I will always recommend Princess Cruises to someone, my future trip planned for next year on this vessel, we are cancelling. Let me start with the creepiest thing about Royal and the Ocean Medallion ...

Very disappointed. Our 5th cruise on Princess. Loved the first four. Booked this because we wanted to see Belize. Then Belize was removed from the itinerary. Our cabin was nice. Seemed just like the others but the shower was a little bigger. Liked the tv mounted on the wall. Because of the outrageous noise level nearly everywhere else onboard, I chose to spend more quiet time in the cabin. Nice ...

Surly servers, poor food

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We decided to go back to see the Panama Canal again. Our cabin was fine and our cabin steward was great. The buffet area was not organized and the servers were not happy people. They were surly and not helpful. The food selection was surprisingly poor. We are Platinum level, so this was not our first Princess experience. The Panama tour was 2 hours late, cramped seating, and disorganized. When ...

Cruising with a Family

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Crown Princess

This ship was nice, but it was more for an over 50 demographic. My child (14) tried on several attempts to attend the teen club, but he was always the only one that showed up. We didn't notice very many kids on the ship at all. The trivia and other entertainment was again more for an older audience and I am in my mid 40's and felt too young. The shore excursion desk was very rude when we tried ...
