This was our 10th cruise...the 2nd with Princess. Loved every minute of our vacation. The fellow passengers were very friendly, which made our trip more enjoyable. Embarkation was flawless. On the ship within 30 minutes.
The ship is large, but easy to navigate. The atrium was very impressive. Love the Lotus spa. Paid extra for the Enclave, which was $149.00 per person for the 7 days. Felt it ...
This was our 15th cruise and the largest and newest ship we've sailed. The advantages of being on a large ship are numerous because of the many choices: activities, food, locations on the ship, people you meet, excursions. Having been on small to medium sized ships, the Royal Princess rates right up on top. Everything was as close to perfect as it could be, including the Captain's decision to ...
Our 10-day Caribbean Cruise started and ended at the Port Everglades Cruise Port. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale the evening prior to cruise and stayed at the Marriott Courtyard just as we had the year before. The complimentary shuttle from the airport and to the cruise port is a big plus.
We arrived for embarkation at about 11:00am and joined the priority check-in line. As we later found out, ...
I'll start with the negatives..
Our cabin was Marina 214 port side forward. I would not recommend this deck because you are right under poolside/bar/pizzarra. Of course there is some foot traffic, but moving tables and chairs can be annoying.
Book a lower deck, easy solution.
Wheelhouse Bar needs a dance floor.....put it back....
Crooners Bar ditto, make a larger space, so we can ...
Have cruised with Princess for many years and this was our first cruise on this new class of ship. We had an upgraded balcony rear facing and it was lovely as we had the sofa and the large balcony. One thing I really noticed is that they have muh better lighting in the cabins. We are doing the Southern Caribbean on the Regal next month and will have the regular balcony room. I am afraid it will ...
This cruise was pretty close to perfect in our opinion. My quick review (our 6th cruise)...boarding the ship was a snap as well as disembarking...so fast!! This ship is only 3 years old, so it's pretty amazing. We had balcony room C603-10th floor. The shower was very good with a shelf that made it nice to shave your legs and keep your shampoo etc. I did not use what they provided. The sink ...
Traveling this trip is myself (49), Cousin (47), mother (ageless) and aunt (she’d kill me).
Pre Cruise: I arrived from Chicago the afternoon of the 18th and my cousin arrived that evening. We stayed at the Hampton Inn near the airport and the hotel was nice. Except for the fact that the air conditioning in the room didn’t work and the smoke detector was hanging on the wall by one thin wire. ...
We've taken a few Caribbean cruises, and so were familiar with most of the destinations, but, ever since seeing the movie "Romancing The Stone" I've wanted to visit Cartagena, Columbia. The cruise line - Princess, because it's our favourite/most-used line, and this trip because of Cartagena.
The ship and cruise were as good as always - good food/entertainment/service, but this trip was all ...
Just got off the Regal Princess this morning after a week with DH.
Embarkation: the “preferred” line at 11:00 to board the ship was at least 2x longer than the “regular” check in… Once the line started it proceeded quickly. Yes, the wine detail was out in full force and DH dutifully checked in his 2 bottles.
Demographics: there could not have been more than 2 dozen folks under 18 on ...
First time on Princess's mega ship. I was very surprised that even though the ship was fully booked, it did not seem crowded. The only time that I felt crowed was the 8:15 theater shows and breakfast buffet on some days. Embarkation and debarkation were the fastest ever. I did not feel the lack of elevators or stairs that so many have commented on. Dining at 530 with the same waiters was ...
