We cruised from Ft. Lauderdale to Panama Canal and back to Ft. Lauderdale. The embarkation was very easy and smooth. No complaints about that. We had stops in Montego Bay, Cartagena, Limon and Grand Cayman. We could have skipped Montego Bay and Cartagena. The guide on the excursion in Montego Bay just spoke about the poverty on the island. Not what we were looking for. Cartagena excursion ...
Our cruise to the Panama Canal on Emerald Princess did not disappoint, it was a great ratio of at sea days vs port days. The embarkation and disembarkation both ran smoothly. The staff were exceptional, especially our cabin steward. On day 1 he got extra hangers for me and removed the small table, replacing it with an extra chair. Our balcony stateroom was faded and the age really showed but it ...
We booked this cruise at the spur of the moment, and did not shop around to see other options. That said, we were very pleased with the cruise overall.
This was our eighth cruise on Princess, and the cruise line's quality of service has always been outstanding for every cruise we've taken over the years. The entire crew are wonderful - they all have a great deal of enthusiasm and are eager ...
A transit of the Panama Canal has been on my Bucket List for many years. To finally do it was a dream come true! And to sail on a ship leaving Galveston, Texas, my "home" port was doubly exciting. And a Princess ship at that! How lucky can one person get. As expected from Princess, the ship was clean, the crew was wonderful, the food was delicious no matter where we chose to eat, and the ...
The Emerald Princess is a roomy ship with plenty of outdoor space. I was most impressed with all of the staff. Shows were great. I did notice some cutbacks in the choices of food in the MDR. Overall, it was a great trip. Plenty of daily actives and enjoyed the pool at the back of the ship. Our third trip on the Emerald, we had never gone thru the Panama Canal or been to the ports of Huatulco, ...
My husband and I have been cruising about once a year since our honeymoon over 40 years ago. Princess is one of our favorite cruise lines. We’d been on six Princess cruises before this one, including two on the CB (Southern Caribbean in 2013 and British Isles in 2017). We obviously love cruising, and our mindset is to enjoy the many positive aspects of cruising and not let the glitches ruin things ...
This 10 day Panama Canal cruise was our 59th Princess cruise. Although we have also sailed on two other cruise lines, we keep coming back to Princess. The Caribbean Princes is 20 years old. but well maintained and clean. There always workers wiping painting, and sweeping to keep it that way. The only negative item due to age is only one dual electrical outlet in your main portion of your cabin and ...
We recently returned from the 10 night Panama Canal cruise on the Caribbean Princess leaving from and returning to Fort Lauderdale. After reading some of the prior reviews, I was initially wary about going on this ship. I am writing this review to let people know about our terrific experience. The cruise couldn't have gone better. The ship and the cabin were kept very clean. The food was ...
Been a while since going on a cruise, first solo cruise in my 67 years and it was better than expected with a bump or two. Panama canal is an amazing feat of large scale engineering.
Food is very good, entertainment was the best I have had in maybe 20 cruises in my life. Singing and dancing isn't my favorite but the production numbers I really enjoyed. Lots of corny events on at sea days, from ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary. I wanted to go from Port Everglades to LA through the Panama Canal's historic locks. The Island Princess was the perfect size. I wanted 'sea days', and with only 4 port days, this itinerary was perfect. I'm in my 60's and took my adult daughter. It was my 4th time with Princess. 21st cruise on 8 different cruise lines.
We were sailing a 14 day leg of their ...
