1-10 of 41 Princess Emerald Princess Cruise Reviews for Romantic to the Southern Caribbean
We’ve been on several Princess cruises and we can see things are on the decline. Service was not as good as what it was before. Most times while eating in the buffet we had to get our own beverages, rarely did anyone ever offer and when they did we waited 15-20 minutes for the drinks to arrive.
The food selection and quality has declined. The buffet also closes and hour earlier than what ...
This was our first Princess Cruise, a 14 day Circle the Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale in March, 2023. The Emerald Princess and crew were great. But Princess Cruises is so poor and irresponsible with their accounting we won't be sailing with Princess again. Just too risky and they have proven untrustworthy with out money even when they put things in writing. (Details below).
The cruise itself ...
We chose this cruise as it was doing 2 weeks without a trip back to Florida, it wasn't a bad choice. We travelled as a group of 9 which we do every couple of years.
I know the Emerald Princess is one of the older ships and it is showing its age but we had a nice time.
Cabin
We had an inside cabin on Baja deck and was looked after by Christina. I think we had 1 of the refurbished cabins ...
This was a trip for a family group of nine, brothers and sisters and partners in 50's / 60's.
Previously, we have sailed with both P&O and more with Celebrity. All past experience was pre-covid.
Generally, we enjoyed the trip, which isn't exactly surprising as it's no hardship being on a cruise around the Caribbean. However, this, our first experience of Princess, left a little to be ...
I chose this cruise because it was for 14 days going to the Easter and Southern Caribbean. Which we love. I have never cruised on Princess before and was so looking forward to this experience. I will list the good and the bad aspects of our cruise. This was our 16th cruise so we are not newbies.
Good first
1. The Hostess in the Michael Angelo dinning room was alway so pleasant asking ...
This is our 10th cruise with Princess. We are Platinum members and stayed in a suite. My biggest complaint is the food quality and choices. The Club Class menu choices were very disappointing. There was always a steak on the menu. Not this time. Other choices were not as good as before. Escargot used to be every night, not now.
In the Crown Grille, you always got 3-4 lobster tails. Now one ...
We were the 3rd cruise after Dry dock and the AC in the entire Sector of Deck 10 Caribe Starboard side midsection was barely working! When walking in the hallway of the entire area mentioned above you could feel the stuffiness and hotter air temperature due to the AC not working efficiently. We had been on the Emerald Princess just 3 months prior but on a different deck so we had a good ...
Sailed in The Emerald Princess for a Christmas cruise. The ship overall was looking nice after 1 13-day dry dock in December - new mattresses in the cabin were great. However, the drapes in our cabin were filthy and soiled. And after two days, the knock at the door - they had to replace the shower head - couldn't be done during dry dock?
The staff behavior ranged from indifferent to ...
Ok I read all the reviews, I really wanted to see Aruba and since most lines don't sail there I was willing to over look any negative comments by saying you cant please everyone and by owning an insurance agency I realize that some people are impossible to please . I have sailed Carnival twice Rcl twice Msc once , and I've always wanted to try Princess.(love boat and all)
I would have given ...
This was my 3rd cruise on Princess, and the first on Emerald. I understand that the ship just came out of dry dock, but I couldn't really figure out what had been updated other than the Effy jewelry boutique that took up a large amount of the shopping area. I'm not sure why Princess cruises made the decision to give so much real estate to such an expensive jewelry store. The pieces are terribly ...
