Had to take this cruise because it was the last one doing New Zealand. The ship does not feel renovated nor new. Needs maintenance. Staff was friendly, mostly. But the excursion staff are not prepared to deal with problems, such as so many cancellations. They should give us, those who reserved on time and then were canceled, some priority or compensation. We had too many stops canceled and the ...

already had completed two cruises on the sun princess and wanted to expierence a different ship, was very dissapointed with emerald princess in our opinion the sun princess expierence was a lot better, the layout of the emerald did not suit us,the dining room meals did little to encourage you to return,we went to the dining room five times and the menu hardly altered.the waitress we had was very ...

"Whilst the Emerald Princess is a beautiful ship, the ladies and myself in our party preferred the Voyager of the Sea we experienced last year. This year I had booked twin beds in our Stateroom but there was a double bed. Our cruise document stipulated twin beds. The crew were friendly and pleasant at all times. We also found that there were only hand disinfecting dispensers in the dinning area. ...

This was my 4th Princess Cruise (also been on Avalon, Azamara, Oceania, HAL, Voyages to Antiquity). My 1st Princess cruise was in June 2012, did a 12-night British Isles aboard the Caribbean Princess in an obstructed OV (felt ship itself was too big for British Isles itinerary but overall a very nice experience); 2nd was in Dec 2012, a 15-night Hawai'i cruise (L.A. round-trip) aboard the Golden ...

We wanted a Cruise that would in compass New Zealand and Australia, Princess fitted the itinerary adequately. However although we enjoyed the cruise overall we felt that it didn't reach our expectations and lacked the little bit extra appeal that might make us automatic returning customers. As this was our first Princess cruise we are not sure whether it was just this particular Ship Emerald or ...

5* hotel on water, the short stops and industrial ports took the edge off

I cannot really say anything bad about the ship itself and the service the staff provide. Our stateroom on Baja deck (11) on port side was excellent. The restaurant and food/service was good. We enjoyed a couple of nights in speciality restaurants and felt we got value for money. The 11 night drink package was £440 but again we saw this as reasonable value. Some of the on board entertainment ...

I had a good cruise but it was not as relaxing as other Princess cruises I have done due to it being in the school holidays and the fact that they had unruly feral children aboard that were allowed to disrupt and spoil other peoples cruise experience by running, jumping, somersaulting and bombing into the swimming pools. As an adult the only time you could swim without children hassling you was in ...

We had a good time but the ports were a disappointment despite having visited them before. We took this cruise because we had such a good time on a similar itinerary a year ago. We had to skip Mystery Island. It was too rough for the ship to get into the bay....The fault of the weather? I question that because the Emerald skipped it last time it was here too. Either the ship is too large for this ...

We chose this cruise because of the following points: 1) it departed from Sydney 2) it was at a time of year when we could take leave 3) it wasn't too long (11 nights) 4) it was going somewhere we hadn't been before (NZ) 5) it was a good price with a balcony upgrade offer for $100 pp. We had not cruised on Princess before but I had heard it was very good. The ship itself was very elegant, but ...

my first and last cruise had to battle through crowds everytime I left my room, had to line up for elevators and stop at every deck, unusually did not have to line up at restaurants, food selection was not as good as I had expected after watching on you tube, cabin was missed getting refreshed 2 days out of 8, overall not my idea of restful holiday, a lot of the entertainment I was looking at ...
