1-10 of 151 Princess Emerald Princess Cruise Reviews for Family Cruises to Alaska
Had to change from another cruise line due to ship being redeployed, so chose Princess Cruises. We also wanted to spend a couple of days in Vancouver and Seattle, this cruise allowed us to do this.
Embarkation took a couple of hours (there were four ships in Canada Place all boarding around the same time). As international Passengers we went through customs last. The system was smooth overall. ...
Anniversary and Birthday trip-we both turned fifty and it is our thirtieth wedding Anniversary. We had decided to treat ourselves to something special a we have always Wanted to see Alaska and see something “once in a lifetime”.
Alaska Which was absolutely fabulous, provided that experience. We were blessed to see pods of whales migranting south from the ship as we sat on our baloncy. ...
Wow!! Princess runs an extremely well organized cruise. Our excursion was fantastic. The service on board was amazing and the picture package was a total value!!!! We had the best formal dining room experience with an incredibly wonderful wait staff. It was every thing we would have wanted in a cruise experience. The comedian on board was the best comedian I’ve ever seen in person. My kids and I ...
My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise aboard the Emerald Princess. Loved the staff and crew! They were professional, friendly, and fun. Strike up a conversation with any of them and you will learn so much about them, where they are from, and get a little glimpse into their lives......very honored to have met everyone we did. The excursions were ...
We chose this cruise primarily because it has been a dream of ours to see Alaska and it didn’t disappoint. The scenery was outstanding and the excursions we took, were all amazing and gave us a real taste of what Alaska has to offer. We booked our Juneau and Skagway excursions before we left and Ketchikan on the dock near the ship. The Emerald Princess was the second cruise ship we have been on, ...
Our first Princess Cruise was fantastic. Went with another couple and we had a great time. Weather was fantastic in all ports. Missed Tracy Arm, but Endicott was great. Viewing very close. Only did buffet once, but dining room and Crown Grill, plus a couple of room services were great. Just not enough time in ports with doing a shore excursion. Could have spent 2 days each in Ketchikan and ...
The ports were awesome and the dining staff were also great. The room stewards were lazy and only did what they had to. The bed fell on me and I got "sorry". No special treatment on this cruise, no towel animals or anything extra for sure, just the bare minimum. Food was ok but not a lot of variety. Buffet was small and had most of the same food every night. Dining room staff was great! You would ...
I would give this cruise 3.5 stars rather than 4. The embarkation was a breeze and didn't take long at all. It was very efficient. We boarded the ship in Seattle. The cruise ship could use some updates and remodeling. Overall, the cruise ship was okay. Our first stop was in Ketchikan. I don't remember the exact name of the shore excursions, but the one in Ketchikan involved a scenic tour and a ...
We liked the selection of food at the buffet but the taste wasn’t great nor the preparation. I got sick after the first night after eating there the day before (horrible diarrhea & vomiting) or lunch from the Gastric Pub that same day. Share restaurant was great, the only one with good food. The Crown restaurant, my husband had tender filet, mine was tough. I should have taken a picnic basket ...
We had sailed on the Emerald Princess two years ago in the Baltic, so we were familiar with the ship. (See previous post “A Wonderful Ship but a Disappointing Itinerary” from July 2016). There have been few major changes, so I will only repeat that the Emerald is beautiful ship and is being maintained reasonably well.
We had cruised to Alaska about 10 years ago and wanted to do it again. We had ...
